00:27The opposition's India blog on Saturday finalised its seat-sharing formula for the upcoming
00:32Jharkhand assembly elections.
00:34As per the agreement, the Chief Minister Hemant Soren led Jharkhand Mukti Morcha will contest
00:40on 43 seats, while the Congress will field candidates on 30 seats.
00:46The Rashtriya Janata Dal, i.e. RJD, will contest on 6 seats, and left parties will field candidates
00:52on 3 seats, which include Nirsa, Sindhuri, and Baghodar.
00:56There will be a friendly contest among the candidates of the India blog on Dhanwar, Chhatarpur,
01:02and Vishrampur assembly seats, as per the seat-sharing formula.
01:06In the Dhanwar seat, the BJP has fitted its senior leader and former MP, Babulal Marandi.
01:12However, India blog has not yet officially declared their seat-sharing arrangements.
01:19The BJP is set to unveil its manifesto, Sankalp Patra, for the Jharkhand assembly elections
01:26on November 3.
01:27Union Home Minister Amit Shah will present the manifesto at a gathering in Rachi.
01:32This announcement was made by Shivraj Singh Chauhan, BJP's election in charge for Jharkhand
01:37and Union Minister.
01:39Chauhan revealed that Amit Shah would arrive in Rachi on Saturday evening to confer the
01:43party leaders about their election strategy.
01:46Following the manifesto release, Shah plans to address rallies in Dhalbhumgarh, Barkatha,
01:52and Simaria, key locations across Jharkhand.
01:55The BJP has outlined five major commitments for Jharkhand, known as Panch Pran.
02:01Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jharkhand on November 4 to continue the campaign momentum.
02:06He is expected to hold public meetings in Garhwal and Chaibasa.
02:11Chauhan expressed optimism that Modi's development message would resonate with Jharkhand's

02:17Ahead of the Maharashtra assembly elections, the Central Intelligence Agencies warned of
02:23a potential threat to the life of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, prompting the
02:27authorities to buttress his Z-plus security cover with X-Force One personnel.
02:33The intercepted communications by the intelligence teams suggested the threat to the BJP leader's
02:39life, according to highly placed sources in the State Home Department.
02:43Without specifying any groups, they said they are investigating the nature and extent
02:48of the potential threats, and urged Fadnavis to exercise caution.
02:52Earlier, the state police upgraded the security of Fadnavis with 12 X-Force One commandos
02:58as a precautionary measure, citing security reasons in view of the upcoming Maharashtra
03:03assembly election.
03:04Fadnavis enjoys Z-plus security cover at present, which is taken care of by the Maharashtra
03:09Police's Special Protection Unit, said the officials.
