00:00Hello and welcome. In today's episode of Poll Drab, we will delve into all the latest developments,
00:17key political moves and the intense battle that are shaping up in the state of Jharkhand
00:21and Maharashtra ahead of their assembly election 2024. We will be covering the top candidates
00:27who have filed their nominations, the fears exchanged between parties and what this means
00:32for the political future of both the states. Let's dive right in.
00:39Starting off with the Jharkhand where the political heat is rising, Chief Minister Hemant
00:43Soren of the Jharkhand Mukti Morsha Party or in short JMM, alongside key BJP leader
00:50Amar Bauri and other assembly poll candidates filed their nomination papers today and has
00:55officially entered the race. The CM filed his nomination from the Biharate Constituency
01:01while his MLA wife Kalpana Soren submitted the documents for the Gandhi Assembly seat.
01:06He said in one of his posts posted on X and I quote, I got great privilege of filing my
01:13nomination papers from Biharate Assembly Constituency, the revolutionary land of immortal martyrs
01:19Sidhu Kano, Phoolo Jano and Chand Bhairav. He also said that he would build a Jharkhand
01:26as dreamt by those brave martyrs and revolutionaries. Soren who has been at the forefront of the
01:32tribal rights and development in the state, his leadership being challenged by the BJP
01:38which is aiming to reclaim power, the competition is set to be fierce. Both sides have intensified
01:45their campaigns with developments and governance issue taking centre stage. As nominations
01:50pour in, it's clear that the election battle will focus on issues like employment, tribal
01:56welfare and infrastructure development, all of which are critical to Jharkhand's electorate.
02:04Shifting our focus to Maharashtra where the political scene is no less electrifying, Aditya
02:09Thackeray representing the Shiv Sena UBTE has launched a sharp attack on the BJP and
02:15Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Thackeray accused the current leadership of looting Maharashtra,
02:21a clear signal that Shiv Sena faction is not holding back any punches. In what promises
02:27to be a high stake election, the tug of war between the Uddhav Thackeray led faction and
02:32the BJP Shinde alliance has reached new heights. Aditya Thackeray's speech which resonated
02:38with the sentiments of betrayal and corruption allegation is expected to galvanise the party's
02:44voter base. On the other hand, CM Eknath Shinde and the BJP remain firm, projecting themselves
02:51as the stable force for Maharashtra's continued development. Issues like infrastructure projects,
02:56the handling of Mumbai's civic matters and the Maratha reservation are likely to dominate
03:01the political discourse. With both Jharkhand and Maharashtra gearing up for a hard fought
03:06election, the stakes could not be higher. As top leaders lock horns and campaign trails
03:12heat up, it's going to be an intense race to the finish line. We will continue to bring
03:18you the latest updates on ground reports and detailed analysis in the coming days. That's
03:24all in today's video. I'm your host Rhea and you are watching OneIndia.
03:36Thanks for watching.
