00:00Something I cannot relate to is running to run 26.2 miles but I'm so happy for you and everyone

00:05else is going to take this on. What is your motivation? What do you like about running?

00:09I mean, listen, my first marathon I did was 2021, right? First year I was in the city and

00:15went into it not really knowing what to expect. Never been a long distance runner, never done any

00:19of that in high school but, you know, took the challenge and what I remember feeling after

00:27crossing that finish line at the very end was one of the most gratifying, just fulfilling

00:32feelings and levels of just like leveling up and self-confidence I'd ever felt, honestly,

00:36in my entire life. Just, you know, you complete something that's so difficult and what that does

00:41for you in every other aspect of your life, I think, just it pays dividends over and over and

00:46over again. So, to be honest, that's why I'm doing it again. I want to achieve that feeling again.

00:50I want to feel that high and it's just one of the most beautiful feelings I've ever felt and

00:54I can't wait to feel it this Sunday. Okay, so you're chasing that high for the 2021 marathon.

00:58Absolutely. Can we talk about the training? What did you do then? What are you doing now?

01:03Well, you're gonna love this. I did absolutely zero training for the first one. I think you

01:08know Gio. I do. Yeah, Gio was the one, he bet me that I couldn't beat him in the race for the

01:14marathon. I had no idea what I was getting into. It was a very Barney, How I Met Your Mother type,

01:17I don't know if you've seen that episode. Yes, of course. That was me at the very end,

01:21you couldn't get up, but I did no training, no preparation and this time around, obviously,

01:27I was like, okay, if I'm gonna do this, you know, with the support of Fabletics,

01:31you know, and New York Roadrunners, I'm gonna do this the right way and I'm gonna put training in

01:35and I've been super, super just lucky and very grateful for my coach Lance Parker. He's had an

01:39incredible workout plan for me for the last couple months. Been working with Megan Monahan,

01:43mindset meditation coach. So, I've been doing the physical side in between the ears and really just

01:48putting the work in to kind of see really what my potential is and what can I, I can kind of

01:51achieve when I do put the work in and we'll see what that is on Sunday. Okay, we have some

01:56Bachelor Nation friends running as well. Yes. Matt, Tyler, maybe? I didn't know if Tyler was,

02:02I know Matt is, I just saw Matt recently. Definitely Matt, grocery store Joe,

02:04if he can get over the shin splints and, just kidding, and Zach, I believe. Have you guys

02:10talked running? Is there any Bachelor Nation? And Dustin. And Dustin as well. Yeah, I mean,

02:14I just saw, so obviously Dustin, my best friend, we've been training a bunch together as well. I

02:18just saw Matt like two weeks ago. We were at the Seahawks game up in Seattle. So, we were talking

02:22about our prep and everything. He's gonna kill it. That guy's a freak. He's just built different as

02:26well. And I think he's going for under three hours. I think so. I've talked to him about

02:33running before and his biggest tip is you have to run on vacation. And I said, well, that's

02:37something I'm never gonna do, Matt James. So, thank you for the idea, but like never gonna

02:41happen. But I was like, how do you eat so much and are always on vacation and run all the time?

02:45I just do it every day. Yeah, it's the dedication. That's it. You got to be consistent.

02:50But I believe he will. He's in incredible shape. And yeah, we've been talking, giving each other

02:54some tips and motivation. So, it'll be cool to see the guys out there on the racetrack. And

02:58we'll see who gets probably the second fastest time. So, I don't think anyone's beating Matt.

03:01Not competing with Matt. Who can we beat? Who can we beat? Can we beat Dustin?

03:05I can beat Dustin. I'm gonna say yes. I've never beaten him in a race. The first one,

03:10I think he got 4.17. So, we'll see. That's gonna be, if I have an opportunity to beat someone,

03:16I'm gonna go with Dustin.
