Diddy's facing a mountain of lawsuits from anonymous accusers, but now at least one of them has to reveal their name ... or take an L in court.

00:00This is the type of indictment you would expect from someone in the mafia.

00:03I don't know that I could keep him off the stand.

00:05He is very eager to tell his story.

00:08They're going to show that video over and over and over

00:11about what happens to women that won't change their stories.

00:15His reputation is over.

00:17The United States government, they start making this case

00:20as a takedown of a successful black man.

00:24TMZ presents The Downfall of Diddy, The Indictment, now streaming on Tubi.

00:30Diddy has been facing a wave, a wave of lawsuits, right?

00:36After the indictment, there were even more lawsuits that came forward.

00:39120 just from Busby's firm initially.

00:42Tony Busby, the attorney Tony Busby said that he had 120 clients.

00:47He is, so far, I believe he's filed about 20 or just under 20 of those lawsuits.

00:52Every day there are new lawsuits.

00:54But one of them has already gotten before a judge

00:56and the judge has made a ruling in this, not on the merits of the lawsuit.

01:01This is super important.

01:03But it is very important because the thing you have to remember about

01:05all of the Tony Busby lawsuits, his clients have filed them anonymously

01:10as Jane Does or John Does.

01:13But the judge said for one of them, at least, that's not going to fly

01:17and has ruled that Tony Busby and his client need to reveal the person's identity.

01:25And part of the reasoning has to do with that it's hard to defend yourself

01:30against somebody where you don't know who they are.

01:32Now, it is true that there is a discovery process

01:37where the defense can find out more from prosecutors.

01:40But the judge seems to be saying, you got to disclose it from the jump.

01:44The reason that's so significant is that there is a real push

01:50for people to file these suits to come forward

01:54and there's this feeling that you can do it anonymously

01:58and hopefully settle where you never have to go to court.

02:01At least, that's the MO.

02:03Right.

02:03And that's what Tony Busby said.

02:05This throws a huge monkey wrench into the mix.

02:08Yeah, it was inevitable, right?

02:09I mean, eventually, all plaintiffs have to say who they are.

02:12They have to give Diddy an opportunity to cross-examine them,

02:15to dig up whatever facts and evidence they have against these accusers.

02:20And you're going to have to get them clean.

02:21But to your point, Harvey, all they really want, the game, right?

02:23The way it's played is you try to sue.

02:25Diddy presumably knows who they are

02:28and they'll try to reach a settlement with that person

02:31before they have to reveal their name.

02:33When that doesn't happen, the person's inevitably going to have to come clean.

02:36Okay, Jason, let me now do a twist on this.

02:39So there is at least one lawsuit where an accuser is suing two celebrities,

02:48one of whom the allegation is that this person, this male,

02:52assaulted the plaintiff with Diddy.

02:56And the second is a female celebrity who watched.

02:59They're called Celebrity 1 and Celebrity 2.

03:01I think it was A and B, Celebrity A and Celebrity B.

03:04So the question, if the plaintiff has to be identified,

03:10do they have to identify the defendants as well?

03:14If they're suing them and they want money from them,

03:16then there's going to be full disclosure eventually.

03:19Once it gets down the road.

03:20Now, does it matter that each case will go before a different judge?

03:23Yeah, it does matter.

03:25Because even though the judge in this case...

03:27And state's different.

03:28Right.

03:28State's different.

03:29This one was a federal court, but each judge could look at it differently.

03:34And we have, listen, in California, there are lots of Jane Doe lawsuits,

03:39John Doe lawsuits.

03:40So, you know, this doesn't mean it's going to happen to everybody,

03:44but it opened everybody's eyes.

03:46By the way, we should just say one other thing to button this up.

03:48We're working on our third Downfall of Diddy documentary on Tubi.

03:52So in the second documentary,

03:55Tony Busby, who's representing a number of these plaintiffs...

03:57Including the one who just, they said they have to reveal.

04:00That's right.

04:01He said to us in this documentary

04:04that they have already sent out a bunch of demand letters

04:07and that the idea is settle with us or we'll file a lawsuit.

04:12And it would seem from what we're hearing

04:14when you watch the second documentary,

04:16that there are, I would almost say, a number of celebrities

04:20who have already settled because you saw what happened to Diddy.

04:23If you settled with Cassie, we may not be talking about this.

04:27Right.

04:27I know.

04:30and I wanted to weigh in on the Diddy story.

04:33I think the girl coming forward or the boy coming forward, whoever it is,

04:38it gives more credibility and just not coming out of the woodwork.

04:43So as uncomfortable it would be for the person,

04:47I think it's really important.

04:49Yeah, I mean, we will see what happens.

04:51This is a really interesting turn in this thing.

04:54A lot of things in these lawsuits and clients that Tony Busby has.
