00:00The annual exodus to cemeteries in the provinces have begun for many Filipinos.

00:05BTV's Denise Osorio is at the North Luzon Expressway or LX to give us an update live.

00:12Good evening, Denise.

00:14Joe, as the night gets deeper, so does the gridlock here at the North Luzon Expressway get more unmanageable.

00:21We are situated right before the Balintawak Toll Plaza heading north,

00:25where most of our motorists exit Metro Manila when heading to the northern provinces.

00:30This queue of travelers stretches almost as far as the eye can see, or several kilometers into the horizon.

00:37But mind you, it is shorter now than how that was four hours ago.

00:41But after driving through the RFID gantries,

00:44our motorists could travel at a crawl of between 5 to 10 kilometers per hour,

00:49up to the NLEX Harbor Link interchange.

00:51More areas of the whole stretch of NLEX are also already packed,

00:55such as the stretch along Libtong, Maycawayan, and before the Bukawit Toll Plaza.

01:00Joe, we also noticed earlier that quite a number of motorists were getting their first RFID sensors installed.

01:07When asked why they were doing this, most of them said they were driving new wheels tonight.

01:22Motorists are expecting even more gridlock after getting through this stretch at the Balintawak Toll Plaza.

01:30Traffic, I'm expecting that.

01:32We left early to make sure we would arrive on time, so we still have allowance.

01:38Joe, it's beginning to drizzle here at my location and also at the NLEX Harbor Link interchange,

01:44so expect most vehicles to drive slowly or crawl on the freeway.
