00:00In Santa Ana, Cagayan, the number of residents who were evacuated increased

00:05because of the storm surge, or the rapid rise of the super typhoon Leon.

00:11That's what Benji Durango reported.

00:15The PNP Santa Ana was rescued by Ibong Bubi of the super typhoon Leon in Cagayan.

00:20Where did you get that, sir?

00:22At the fish port.

00:30Yes, sir. It just passed by the boats.

00:33Ibong is not usually seen in tropical countries like the Philippines.

00:37It is likely that it got tired after more than 24 hours of the typhoon Leon yesterday.

00:42The reason for the left-right storm surge in the 16 barangays of Santa Ana is also strong winds.

00:48Earlier this morning, the number of evacuees in the town increased.

00:51First, Barangay Casambalangan, followed by Palawik, San Vicente, Rapuli, and other barangays.

00:57All coastal areas of the town were affected by the storm.

01:00842 families, or 2,640 people were evacuated.

01:05In Apari, Cagayan, a fisherman's wharf was swept away by the sea.

01:08It was not able to withstand the strong waves, so it fell into the sea.

01:11In Gonzaga, Cagayan, a pre-emptive evacuation was also carried out in some barangays there.

01:16The rescuers helped to bring them to the evacuation center.

01:20In the whole of Cagayan, almost 3,000 people were evacuated.
