00:00The area in the heart of Bangkok is believed to be a cursed place and it was once the site of

00:06the haunted Petchabun Palace. The area around Ratchaprasom intersection which is now a buzzing

00:12hub with big department stores like St. Helens Wall used to be the site of Petchabun Palace

00:17which had served as a residence for royal families. However, in 1992, the area was used

00:24to construct St. Helens Wall and this is where the hunting was believed to begin. It is believed

00:29that a spirit house belonging to the guardian spirit of Petchabun Palace was destroyed during

00:34the construction. Many have linked this to the tragic incidents that later occurred in the area

00:40such as St. Helens Wall's mall fire during protests and the bombing at the intersection.

00:45Some legends suggest that the monarchs who once owned the area placed a curse

00:51stating that if the land is used or owned by anyone other than their descendants, bad luck

00:57will follow.
