00:04The BMA has cleaned nearly 3,000 kilometers of drainage pipes

00:08to make sure that water flows smoothly when the sky opens up.

00:12But here's the messy truth.

00:14A big reason that the drains get clogged,

00:17well, it comes from grease and food waste, mostly from restaurants.

00:21So now all eateries are required to install grease traps.

00:25No more pouring oil down the sink.

00:28If they don't, they could face a fine up to 50,000 baht or even jail time.
