00:00Bangkok's Krungthep Kihar was once a place reserved for athletes but it has now transformed

00:04into one of the city's most expensive areas for luxury living. In the past, some parts of this

00:10suburb were used to build homes for athletes who joined the 1975 Southeast Asian Games.

00:16This is why the area is still called Muban Nakkila or Athlete's Village. Back then,

00:20the area wasn't very popular but with new roads, motorways, sky trains, and the airport leveling,

00:26it has become much more valuable. Between 2012 and 2015, the land price was around 10,000 baht

00:33per square watt. Fast forward to today, the area is now home to luxury residences,

00:38some priced as high as 100 million baht. On top of that, this train has limited to Krungthep Pitha.

00:44Many other areas in Bangkok have shared their history and transformed into luxury destinations.
