00:00Department of National Defense, or DND, Secretary Gilberto Tidoro Jr. has ordered the swift

00:06implementation of forced and mandatory evacuations in high-risk areas due to the expected severe

00:13weather impacts from Tropical Storm Leon.

00:16The DND chief emphasized the importance of proactive measures to protect lives, adding

00:22it is far better to act early than to regret later and face unnecessary loss.

00:28Following these directives, the Department of Interior and Local Government, or DILG,

00:34promptly issued a memorandum instructing all local government units, or LGUs, to adhere

00:40to the order.
