Flames and thick black smoke billow following Turkish strikes on oil facilities in northeastern Syria. The Turkish drone strikes killed 27 civilians during a 24-hour military escalation, according to a Syrian war monitor, and come after an attack on an air defence firm near Ankara, in which five people were killed.
