'Kristine' batters Batangas   Residents and rescue workers dig through mud and rubble to remove victims and bodies from a landslide in Batangas on Oct. 25, 2024 in the wake of Severe Tropical Storm 'Kristine.' The storm killed at 40 people and affected over two million, officials said, after it made landfall on the northeastern coast. Kristine dumped heavy to torrential rain on the main island of Luzon triggering widespread flooding and landslides.
