00:00The government will further strengthen the e-mobility industry in the country.

00:05In a sectoral meeting in Malacanang with the Department of Science and Technology or DOSD,

00:10President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr. stressed the importance of providing incentives to

00:15potential investors.

00:17According to the chief executive, investment and scaling must be addressed because there

00:22are the most difficult aspects of boosting the sector.

00:26Although local investors will be given importance, the country remains open to anyone who wants

00:31to invest in the industry.

00:33However, focus on production design is paramount.

00:36A strategic roadmap is being created under the Electric Vehicle Industry Development

00:41or EVIDA to develop a policy that will help provide incentives for electric or e-vehicles.

00:47Based on DOSD's latest records, more than 25,000 e-vehicles are registered in the country

00:53and 705 e-vehicle charging stations, providers that have generated over 10,000 jobs and more

01:00than a billion in investment.
