00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr. says the suspension of work and classes should be announced earlier.

00:06The chief executive made this statement after Tropical Storm Anthing made landfall earlier today,

00:12bringing continuous rains, flooding and strong winds as it headed towards the northern part of Luzon.

00:18The president assured the government is constantly monitoring the situation

00:22and is ready to provide the necessary assistance to those who will be affected by this latest weather disturbance.

00:31We will try to give the bulletin as early as possible for work and school tomorrow.

00:38My instruction to them is, if possible, before we go to sleep,

00:43we should know if there will be classes tomorrow or not, so that people can adjust.
