La Sardegna come laboratorio per il futuro del trasporto pubblico, la conferenza di Asstra a Cagliari

(Adnkronos) - Come migliorare l'offerta del trasporto pubblico locale e attrarre nuova domanda, attraverso soluzioni innovative e sostenibili. Questi i temi della conferenza internazionale tenutasi al T Hotel di Cagliari e organizzata da "Asstra imprese in movimento". Tanti gli ospiti e ancora di più gli spunti nati durante la conferenza che ha visto intervenire, tra gli altri, il sindaco di Cagliari, Massimo Zedda.     La grande sfida in Sardegna è quella di rendere il trasporto omogeneo in un territorio che, dal punto di vista demografico, non lo è. "Passiamo da zone in cui ci sono più di mille persone per chilometro quadrato, fino a zone che ne contano 50", spiega Paolo Depperu, presidente Asstra Sardegna. "Servono investimenti per connettere i diversi trasporti già presenti nell'Isola, e ideare nuove soluzioni".     Il sindaco, durante la conferenza, ha spiegato che il trasporto pubblico può rispondere ad altre problematiche trasversali: "Vorremmo lanciare una sfida: più interventi sul trasporto pubblico e sulle infrastrutture, (corsie preferenziali, accessibilità e tanto altro), per ridurre i costi del primo soccorso e del primo intervento sulle strade regionali".     Da non sottovalutare le infrastrutture digitali nel futuro della mobilità: "Il trasporto pubblico come lo conosciamo potrà evolvere anche con il sistema a chiamata. Questo si può fare con i sistemi digitali", ha dichiarato il presidente Asstra, Andrea Gibelli. "In questo e molto altro la Sardegna può essere un laboratorio, dove provare e testare nuove soluzioni da esportare".

00:55The great challenge in Sardinia is to make transport homogenous in a territory that, from a demographic point of view, is not.

01:03It is well understood that a housing homogeneity like that of Sardinia requires that a policy that recalls the demand for public transport

01:13is absolutely flanked by a policy of investment in infrastructures that can somehow allow the interconnection between different transport systems.

01:23The mayor Massimo Zedda is also present, who during the conference explained that public transport

01:28can respond to other transversal issues, including reducing the costs of first aid and first intervention.

01:35We have a series of planned investments that we are planning in the area of the FSC, of the new European Programme 2021-2027,

01:45in the direction of the environment, the protection of this, a sustainable mobility, an intervention linked to ordinary maintenance,

01:54the extraordinary use of roads, squares and footpaths, also because it is an incentive the use of the most sustainable means,

02:01that is, the legs, so to travel as far as possible the roads on foot in serenity and safety,

02:08therefore also with public lighting systems that encourage the travel of places on foot,

02:15the enhancement of local public transport, also in agreement with the Sardinian region, the extension of the network and accessibility.
