Riot police in Mozambique fire tear gas to disperse a crowd in Maputo, where shops are closed ahead of a planned protest against alleged electoral fraud. Opposition leader Venancio Mondlane, who ran for president in the election on 9 October, had called for a general strike to contest early results showing the ruling Frelimo party ahead.
