00:00We're going to go in and look at it.
00:01We're going to look at the top of the head.
00:03It's a beautiful piece of wood, isn't it?
00:09Fantastic.
00:12It's a packed church, only 17.5 million people watching this.
00:17That's exciting.
00:1933 years ago.
00:21What a thing.
00:25What a thing.
00:26I'm now going to meet Alex and Sue
00:28to make their vows
00:30again in the presence of God
00:32and his congregation here.
00:38I, Alex,
00:40take you, Sue,
00:42to be my wife
00:44to have and to hold
00:48from this day forward
00:50for better, for worse
00:52for richer, for poorer
00:54in sickness and in health
00:57and in love and to cherish
00:59till death us do part
01:01according to God's holy law
01:05and in the presence of God
01:07I make this vow.
01:11I, Sue,
01:13take you, Alex, to be my husband
01:15to have and to hold
01:17from this day forward
01:19for better, for worse
01:21for richer, for poorer
01:23in sickness and in health
01:25in love and to cherish
01:27till death us do part
01:29according to God's holy law
01:31in the presence of God
01:33I make this vow.
01:37Thank you very much.
01:44It's such a lovely thing to do
01:46and what better place to do it
01:48than in this lovely church
01:50where we did it first time round.
01:52It's amazing, is that of course
01:55it's the 180th anniversary of this fantastic
01:57church where we got married
01:59but we got married 33 years ago
02:01practically to this very day
02:03it was our wedding anniversary yesterday
02:05so actually to be able to do
02:07and renew our vows
02:09at an extraordinary time
02:11in the presence of a lot of people
02:13and God himself is a wonderful thing to do.
02:15So special.
02:25I'd say confidence a bit
02:27it was tough to go on
02:29it wasn't tough to go on
02:31but you had to have a bit of savvy to go on
02:33it's given us
02:35we're very proud of Pelsall
02:37very proud of the Midlands
02:39it's changed my life completely
02:41and I didn't expect to come on
02:43finding a husband
02:45but it was an added bonus big time.
02:47Well I think it gave us each other
02:49most importantly.
02:51That is the most important thing.
02:53And of course what it has done
02:55all the way through our lives
02:57it's found a sort of foundation
02:59rock on which we built our marriage
03:01together. Whether it's
03:03our lovely daughter
03:05who describes herself as a blind date baby
03:07or our son
03:09who's been vicariously embarrassed
03:11by his parents for so very long
03:13all of it
03:15is really resolved around that extraordinary moment
03:17when we laid eyes on each other for the very first time
03:19when the screen went back
03:21and that led to this extraordinary church service.
03:23And I don't think it would have happened
03:25any other way through blind dates.
