00:00Hello, Miriam at the Bureau with your national weather forecast for tomorrow, Tuesday the

00:0422nd of October.

00:06Now taking a look at tomorrow's weather map, we can see a couple of weak cold fronts, one

00:11south of Western Australia, the other crossing Tasmania.

00:14Now these are both weak, likely to bring a few patchy showers to these areas, but not

00:18really have too great an impact.

00:21We're also seeing showers through inland parts of the continent however, across southeastern

00:24parts of Western Australia and Western South Australia, driven by this low pressure trough

00:30lying across the interior of the continent.

00:32But apart from these weather systems, we are looking at mostly settled weather for our

00:37Tuesday.

00:38Dry and increasingly warm, particularly across northern and eastern parts of Australia.

00:44Let's take a state by state look now, starting with Queensland.

00:48We're likely to see showers across eastern parts of the state tomorrow, with a slight

00:52chance of a thunderstorm about the Wide Bay area.

00:56It will be drier inland however, warm with temperatures pushing up into the high 30s

01:00to low 40s.

01:02Milder along the coast though, with Brisbane expected to reach 28 degrees, partly cloudy

01:07conditions through our Tuesday.

01:10For New South Wales, we'll see some morning fog through the southeast of the state, and

01:15then a sunny and dry day following.

01:18We are going to see some brisk southerly winds across northern parts of the coast, generating

01:22some large and possibly dangerous waves.

01:25A hazardous surf warning is likely to be in place through the early part of tomorrow,

01:29easing back later in the day.

01:31Now it'll be warm across New South Wales tomorrow, particularly inland.

01:35Along the coast though, a bit milder.

01:36Sydney heading for a partly cloudy top of 23 degrees.

01:40In Canberra, we're heading for 28.

01:44Victoria can expect some morning fogs through Gippsland, and then a dry and mostly sunny

01:48day following.

01:49We will see some clouds starting to build from the west through the afternoon, but most

01:54locations will see mostly sunny conditions through the day.

01:58Melbourne is expected to reach 30 degrees tomorrow, and if we hit this maximum temperature,

02:02it will be the first October 30 degree day for Melbourne City since 2019.

02:10Down in Tasmania, a mild and dry morning before a weak cold front crosses the state, bringing

02:15cloud and a few patchy showers.

02:18Hobart is expected to reach 25 degrees before that cooler change comes through, bringing

02:22a shower or two to the capital there.

02:26For South Australia, brisk northerly winds in the east ahead of this low pressure trough,

02:30and then generally mild conditions throughout the day.

02:33We will see a bit of cloud in the south however, with the chance of a few showers in the west.

02:38It'll be drier inland and much hotter.

02:41For Adelaide, we're looking at 24 degrees for our Tuesday, with partly cloudy conditions.

02:46A weak cold front brushing the southwest coast of Western Australia, with a few showers

02:50about those coastal areas.

02:52They won't push very far inland however, Perth is expecting a dry day with a top of 21 degrees.

02:58We will see some showers across the inland parts of Western Australia however, with the

03:03chance of a gusty thunderstorm across parts of the interior.

03:07Generally low rainfall totals through these areas, but it will be a little bit cooler

03:10under that cloud.

03:11Hotter on the west coast however, with extreme fire dangers forecast for parts of the Pilbara

03:17coast tomorrow.

03:19We're also expecting very hot conditions through the tropical north.

03:22We've got low to severe intensity heatwaves for parts of the Kimberley and Top End, with

03:27heatwave warnings in place for these areas.

03:30We will see a few showers and thunderstorms about the coastal areas, with humidity a little

03:34bit higher there, but it will be drier and sunnier across inland parts of the territory.

03:39For tomorrow, Darwin is heading for a top of 34 degrees with a shower or two.
