Spring weather on hold for much of the country.

00:00Hello, Miriam at the Bureau with your national weather forecast for tomorrow,

00:03Wednesday the 18th of September. Taking a look at tomorrow's weather map, we can see a few features

00:08of interest. We have a cold front moving across southern parts of the country, bringing a few

00:13showers to southern parts of Western Australia and a burst of wet and windy weather to the southeast

00:18states later in the day. In the north, a low pressure trough is generating cloud and areas

00:23of showers and possible storms for parts of the Northern Territory and Queensland. Through central

00:28and eastern parts of the country though, high pressure dominates, which means cool and frosty

00:32mornings and then dry and mostly sunny days following. Let's take a closer look at it all now,

00:37starting with Queensland. Now we are going to see a cool morning across the southern inland of

00:42Queensland tomorrow, but dry and mostly sunny conditions will follow across those southern

00:46districts. For Brisbane, we are heading for a partly cloudy top of 25 degrees tomorrow.

00:52It'll be a little bit of a different story in the north though, where we're going to continue

00:55seeing areas of cloud and patchy showers across those northern districts. We may even see the

01:00chance of a thunderstorm across the northern inland through tomorrow. For New South Wales,

01:05it'll be a cool and frosty morning on and west of the ranges. We are going to see a dry and sunny

01:12day following however, but winds will be increasing, particularly across southeastern parts of the

01:17state. In fact, we already have severe weather warnings for damaging winds current for the

01:22southern alpine areas and the southern branch of the Great Dividing Range. Now these windy and sunny

01:28conditions combining will elevate fire dangers about the Greater Sydney and Illawarra Shoalhaven

01:33districts tomorrow, so that is another thing to watch out for. Sydney is heading for a sunny breezy

01:38top of 26 degrees tomorrow. Down in Canberra after a cool start, it'll be a windy top of 19.

01:45Victoria will see morning frosts on and north of the ranges, but generally sunny conditions will

01:51follow. Winds will increase across Victoria tomorrow as well ahead of this cold front, which

01:56is going to increase showers from the west later in the day. A severe weather warning for damaging

02:01winds is already current for eastern elevated parts of Victoria, and those sunny conditions

02:06and windy conditions will once again combine to produce elevated fire dangers through the northwest

02:11of the state. Those showers are mostly going to be moving through late tomorrow though and overnight

02:16into Thursday. Melbourne is heading for a sunny breezy day tomorrow, top of 20 degrees with just a

02:21possible late shower on the way. For Tasmania, windy showery weather continuing through the

02:27morning, starting to ease back slightly in the afternoon and evening. However, behind the front

02:32that's when we're going to see the coldest air mass moving in, which means the chance of small

02:36hail from later tomorrow and the snow level dropping down to around 700 metres by tomorrow

02:42evening, possibly even lower going into early Thursday morning. For Hobart, we are looking at a

02:48showery top of 15 degrees tomorrow. For South Australia, morning frosts across the agricultural

02:54areas and the Eyre Peninsula with dry and sunny weather following. The exception to that will be

02:59through the southeast district and about Kangaroo Island, where a few patchy showers will develop

03:04later in the day associated with this cold front to the south. Adelaide is heading for a sunny top

03:08of 21 degrees tomorrow. Over in Western Australia, dry and mostly sunny weather for northern and

03:15central parts of the state, but we've got a few showers moving across those southern coastal

03:19districts, once again associated with that cold front to the south. The cloud will also have an

03:24impact on the temperatures a little bit cooler through those southern districts, but for Perth

03:27it'll be a mild sunny top of 24 degrees tomorrow. Finally for the Northern Territory, cloud and

03:34showers will continue across the top end and northeastern parts of the state, with a slight

03:39chance of a thunderstorm across parts of the Barclay District. It'll be drier and sunnier

03:43through those central and southern parts of the Territory, but for Darwin we are looking at a

03:48showery day, a top of 32 degrees. Now you can find the detailed forecast for your area via the
