00:00What do you like the most about playing Alice, Jimmy's daughter, in this season?
00:05She's going to go through very emotional moments, tell me.
00:10My favorite thing about playing Alice is just getting to work with the amazing cast and
00:16crew that we have.
00:18Everybody's so great.
00:19I learn so much from them.
00:20I'm so inspired every day.
00:22And also with the writing.
00:23I'm like, as an actor, so stimulated.
00:25I get lots of good stuff to work with.
00:30How does Jimmy and Alice's father-daughter relationship is going to evolve in this or
00:37change, grow or change in season two?
00:41I think at the beginning of season two, we're seeing Alice worried about Jimmy.
00:47After the end of season one, everything got a little chaotic.
00:51And we know that Jimmy is susceptible to falling back into old habits.
00:58So she's worried that he's going to revert back to those old habits and is kind of hyper
01:05vigilant and making sure that he's okay.
01:07What do you like the most about playing Sean?
01:12It's probably just watching in those big scenes.
01:16Like in the first season, the scene where we meet Pam, the neighbor.
01:23Scenes like that.
01:25If I can just be a fly on the wall for more of those scenes, it just makes me feel so
01:30grateful to be involved in a comedy, you know, to be involved working on set with all these
01:36legends who are trying to bring joy into people's lives.
01:41Those are my favorite.
01:42That, it's probably that.
01:43It's the big days.
01:44Who is working with Jason and the rest of the cast on set?
01:49It's a dream.
01:51It's a dream.
01:52These people are super warm.
01:53They're fun.
01:55We don't shoot for forever either.
01:57Like sometimes I'm out by lunch and I'm like, should I stay and just eat lunch?
02:03You know, like if that's the issue I'm thinking of, works good.
02:08And I'm so grateful.
02:10And for me, the only real responsibility that I feel is to make sure I don't impede that
02:18aura, that energy.
02:19I want to contribute to it.
02:20So I just make sure I'm in the right mentality.
02:23If I ain't get much sleep the night before, I'm not whining about it when I get to work.
02:27If I'm a little hangry, I'm gonna grab me a snack.
02:29They got craft services.
02:31What I'm complaining about, you know?
02:33I just try to keep the energy as warm and gracious as it has been for me every time
02:38I step foot on set.
02:40What attracted you to this project and to Derek, this very, very particular character?
02:48Bill Lawrence.
02:50Bill Lawrence is, he's a master in the art form.
02:54I always tell everybody that, you know, Bill could walk away today and never have to work
02:59again the rest of his life.
03:00And that is so not Bill.
03:02He's a guy who, he, like the rest of us, can't wait to get to work.
03:06He loves it.
03:08And I consider him a genius.
03:10And so Bill Lawrence called me and said, would this be, would you do this for me?
03:15And I was like, are you kidding me?
03:17Thank you so much.
03:19Greatest offer I've ever had.
03:22And then when I got there, I was, you know, I was kind of just the neighbor and it slowly
03:29started to grow and they saw parts of me that they could use and made Derek kind of interesting.
03:39And so it grew and grew and grew and the second season you see a lot more Derek.
03:45And so it's, I mean, that's it.
03:49I would never turn down probably anything Bill asked me.
03:53So on this one, I just lucked out.
03:55What can the audience expect from this new season?
03:59They can expect a wild, wild ride.
04:03There are a lot of surprises.
04:05There's a lot of fun surprises that will, that the audience will say, oh, are you kidding
04:10me?
04:11There will be some actors coming in that, that they will love to see joining the cast.
04:19And this season will be filled with tears, joy, love, pain, guilt, grief.
04:30It is just this soup of life that we all live in every day.
04:35And you will see a little bit of yourself in this show, but you will see hope and you
04:40will see how together we can pull each other out and we can help each other out.
04:47And that's, that's what we're doing.
