The Yorkshire Post reporter Liana Jacob was invited along with her family for the weekend where they stayed in the family suite.

She visited Hardraw Force, the highest single-drop waterfall in England, the village of Hawes and Wensleydale Creamery.

Liana also spoke to the new owner of Green Dragon, Andrew Hields, who shared his plans for the business and how the renovation has been going so far.

00:40How do you feel the renovation and everything's been going, you know since you've taken everything

00:45Yes, it's been it's been amazing. It's been exciting

00:48We've got so much to work with here the character

00:51The history is established. It's all we're looking to do is amplify that and add to that character

00:56So yeah

00:57we've been working very closely, you know in all of the bedrooms to kind of take the feel of the pub and the history of

01:04the pub into a lot of the Latin bedrooms for the guests and then we've

01:09some of the

01:11More recent modern extensions. We've added a lot more character and brought in very historic materials

01:18In the renovation just to try and extend the character of the pub throughout the entire building

01:23Harder all as we call it

01:31And what we wanted to do is again bring the stone

01:35Old wood and kind of old material feel and we've built everything out of stone metal

01:42There's no

01:43Plastic or anything that you see and it all feels like it's always kind of been there for a long long time

01:50Yeah, and how do you feel people respond in terms of you know, when they come specifically for all creatures great and small

01:56What's that been like?

01:57That's that's been brilliant like, you know walk through the door and their eyes lights up

02:03I think just part of obviously being in one of the filming locations of all creatures great and small

02:09Then it goes beyond that but then introduced to the rest of the green dragon that we didn't see
