00:00Thank you so much for your time, I appreciate you.
00:03We are obviously, we know that there was going to be backlash to the film.
00:06In the last 24 or 48 hours, has the whole landscape changed based on the fact that Trump
00:10has been so outspoken against this film now?
00:13Well, I mean, marketing-wise, yes, because you know, now I think everyone who thought
00:18that we were too soft on Trump and, you know, giving him too much oxygen and we're doing
00:23his service and humanising him, I think they understand that the equation with this guy
00:28is completely different, you know.
00:30But the movie itself hasn't changed, you know, we still want to do a non-partial, non-partisan
00:35movie about a human being, flawed human being, but still.
00:39What attempts or efforts were actually made to have Donald Trump invited to see this film?
00:43Has he been given that invitation?
00:45I mean, I have invited him on social media a few times and I kept saying that in interviews
00:50and, you know, I don't know if they have sent an official paper invitation to, you
00:58know, his address, I don't know which one of the addresses we should send, but I do
01:03think that he knows that I want him on the screen.
01:07I've seen yourself and Jeremy and Sebastian and Maria as well on the campaign trail for
01:11this film.
01:12Have you formed a camaraderie amongst yourselves?
01:14Have you gotten closer as a bond because of kind of the, you're sticking together for
01:17this?
01:18No, it is fun, it is fun.
01:19You know, it's been fun to sort of like do this ensemble thing and, you know, move around
01:24and being the travelling circus that we are, you know.
01:27I just wish that it was less political in a sort of a very everyday sort of boring sense
01:35of it.
01:36But on the other hand, you know, that's what we chose.
01:38We're here at the London Film Festival about to screen this for British audiences, American
01:41audiences have already seen the film, do you think we'll have a different perspective over
01:45here as Brits?
01:46I think so.
01:47I think you guys would have easier time detaching from, like, you know, love and hate of Trump
01:52and, you know, sort of watch this as a movie and I think that's grateful.
01:56I think that's a really good thing for the movie.
