00:00Hey, how are you? I thought it said ATN for a second and I thought I was entering into like a alternate universe
00:09So obviously it's kind of inevitable
00:11I feel I've been a few period me that Trump was going to voice his opinion about this film as he has done in the
00:16Last 24 hours. Were you anticipating it? And what was your initial gut reaction to his words?
00:22yeah, you know, I didn't know if he would I I
00:25didn't know if he would and
00:27I thought he might stay outside of the fray, but
00:32You know and I don't think this film was an attempt to bait him
00:37But he did speak out and he used a lot of
00:42Rhetoric that sort of comes straight out of Roy Cohn's playbook. So the Roy Cohn in me was delighted
00:49He attacked us. He denied the veracity of the film and those are things that he learned from Cohn
00:54So in a way it was a tacit endorsement of the film
00:57But I was really troubled as I think we should all be by his use of the phrase human scum
01:03Which is a phrase that's been used by some some pretty terrible dictators in the 20th and 21st century
01:13And I've been hearing you talk a lot about Roy Cohn's influence on America today
01:18You know, whatever he did when he was alive was long-lasting. Do you think the effect that he's had on America is reversible?
01:24I
01:29Don't know I
01:31Wish I could give like a good red carpet answer to that. I
01:35hope so
01:37because
01:38you know in a way he's like the progenitor of
01:41Fake news and of alternative facts and this sort of post truth world that we find ourselves in
01:49It kind of stems from him in a certain way. It's
01:51Thank you for your time
