00:00Well, we all want to keep Telford and Weekend cleaner and greener, but we've noticed over

00:04the last year that the number of dog fowling incidents has gone up, and especially here

00:09in Newport.

00:10So today we're going to highlight the number of dog fowling by spray painting the dog mess

00:15where it is on the ground, and therefore we can record it and hopefully those people who

00:20aren't picking up after their dog will see that somebody is watching them.

00:24We do know the majority of dog owners do pick up after their dog, but we want to highlight

00:28this issue because it's not good in our communities to leave dog mess on our floor.

00:32To help us address this issue, we are increasing the number of patrols of our neighbouring

00:36enforcement officers.

00:37We'll be challenging people to make sure they have dog poo bags.

00:40We are highlighting the issue by using CCTV to try and catch those people not picking

00:45up after their dog.

00:46So what can you do to help us?

00:48If you do witness somebody not cleaning up after their dog, then please ring in and report

00:52it.

00:53If you are a dog owner, please pick up your dog mess.

00:56Treat our streets as your home.

00:58Let's keep our home clean.
