00:00These Lebanese civilians have escaped their villages in the south, which have turned into war zones.

00:07A combat area between the Israeli army and armed group Hezbollah.

00:12With intense bombings from Israel, which have destroyed many homes, perhaps even some of theirs.

00:19For now, this school in Sedan is their shelter.

00:24They have survived, but living all together in classrooms is difficult.

00:30We were displaced against our will, and the situation here is not great.

00:35We call on the officials and those responsible to check on us.

00:39None of them have come.

00:41We hope that the political parties and the authorities in the area here will visit and see how people are living, see what they need.

00:50This is no way to live. Two or three families are living in each classroom. Is this a life?

00:56If the children want to shower, we have to wait until we manage to find a shop where we can bathe them.

01:01UNICEF acknowledges that conditions are tough.

01:05It says it is trying to bring in more sanitary facilities to lessen their hardships.

01:12More than 1.2 million Lebanese have been displaced, 400,000 killed by this war that Lebanon has not asked for.

01:21These are people that left their homes with almost nothing.

01:26There is also concern for their own security.

01:29The Sedan area, where they have found refuge, has also been struck recently.

01:34Israel is saying it has hit Hezbollah forces.

01:37With Israeli calls for new evacuations, and with Hezbollah firing rockets on Israel, the war could further expand.
