00:00Dengue cases in the country fell by almost 20%.

00:06According to the Department of Health or DOH,

00:08more than 269,000 cases were reported from October 4 to September 1, 2014.

00:15Almost 26,000 cases were reported.

00:18Most of the regions reported a decrease in the number of cases,

00:22except for Metro Manila.

00:24In total, 1.06% of the cases were caused by severe dengue,

00:31which resulted in 702 deaths.

00:34DOH once again announced the 4S measures for the prevention and control of dengue.
