The use of 3D and the reality means that we are able to assess major planning applications much

means that we can actually share the developments that are going to happen across our skyline

with residents and really showcase the huge amounts of investments that's coming into our

city to actually showcase to residents. A lot of the stuff we're doing at the moment is bringing

the life to the geospatial data, bringing it into that third dimension.

Ideally in the future we might get planning officers having headsets,

virtual reality headsets, walking around the city, and some of this has already been in

testing actually, walking around the city being able to visualize exactly where they are,

making decisions, using their hands to bring in new buildings into that virtual reality environment

and that's hugely exciting for everyone involved.
