00:00What attracted you the most about Josefina's character?
00:05She's a completely different character from what I've done in my entire career.
00:10I've played strong women, even women with yellow eyes,
00:13like Diana Salazar, who is well-known in Spain.
00:17Or characters who can be prostitutes, or can be crazy,
00:23but I've never played such a toxic woman,
00:26such a dominant woman with her son, so captivating,
00:31that she even messes with his physique,
00:34and doesn't let him really have an opinion on his own,
00:37but is always giving opinions about what he should or shouldn't do.
00:45So, it was a challenge for me. It's a role for a first actress.
00:49It's a role...
00:51Also, with Diego Luna and Gael García,
00:54I think it's been wonderful to be in La Máquina,
00:59but it's a completely different role from everything I've done.
01:03And what can the audience expect from this series?
01:06What they can expect is that there's something very important in life,
01:09the friendship between them.
01:13Loyalty, friendship, the things they face,
01:17the enemies, Andy's own mother,
01:20who is Josefina,
01:22and I think what will really stay in the audience's mind
01:27is, first of all, the extraordinary performance
01:31that Gael had as a boxer.
01:34Number one.
01:35Number two, Diego, who is really his manager,
01:38and who is totally transformed in this series
01:45because he became a character.
01:47And he's not... What's his name?
01:50Diego Luna.
01:51It's Andy.
01:52He's a totally different character
01:55from all the characterization he did,
01:58which is very interesting.
02:00And apart from that, I think all the characters are Mexican,
02:03they're Latino,
02:05and we're very proud that this series was made in Mexico,
02:10directed by Gabriel Ripstein.
02:12You have a very successful career.
02:15This project, how is it different from others you've done before?
02:19What has it brought you, what have you learned from it?
02:23Well, I've definitely learned that when you have a good actor in front of you,
02:27an excellent actor, things go much better for you.
02:30And I've learned that opportunities come to you,
02:33that God's times are perfect,
02:36and that I'm very happy to have made this character in La Máquina.
02:43Josefina.
02:44And as an actress,
02:45what kind of woman would you like to play on the big screen
02:48and you haven't done it yet?
02:52I don't know.
02:53Definitely, I haven't thought about it yet.
02:57I've done so many characters, so different, so different.
03:01But I'd like to be a woman from history.
03:04Of course.
03:05One that was tremendous.
03:07Not a little series, my queen.
03:09No, no, no, I don't like little series.
03:11One that was tremendous, that was kind of wild,
03:14that was kind of, huh?
03:15Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
03:17That suddenly they kill her in the bonfire for wildness or something.
03:21But definitely, a little series and holy?
03:24No, I wouldn't like it.
03:26So I'm going to look for one that's kind of wild, kind of tremendous.
03:30That's the one I'd like to be.
