00:09Videos online show San Jose singing secular songs right in front of a church's altar,

00:14which some social media users consider inappropriate.

00:17San Jose says, quote,

00:18"'This is a lesson learned, and it is assured that it will not be repeated.

00:22I am not perfect, but please know that I have strong beliefs and my fate is unbreakable

00:27and cannot be shaken.'"

00:28San Jose's agency, Sparkle GMA Art and Center, says it takes full responsibility for her

00:33attendance at the concert.

00:35Following the backlash, Nuestra Senora del Pilar Parish priest, Fr.

00:39Carlito de Maano, apologizes for the secular concert, which, quote,

00:43"'hurt the feelings of the faithful.'"

00:45Under the Code of Canon Law, anything not consonant with the holiness of the place is

00:49forbidden, although bishops can permit other uses.
