00:00In other news, the second day of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit took place
00:05in Laos, where leaders held bilateral meetings with the Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.
00:10Among the topics discussed at the summit were economic integration and digitalization in
00:14the region, the conflict in Myanmar, the fight against climate change and Soviet tensions
00:18in the South China Sea.
00:20The summit is also expected to include talks with South Korea, President Jung Suk-kyo and
00:26the Prime Ministers of India and Japan, Narendra Modi and Shigeru Ishiba.
00:29In response to the growing challenges in global economic development, Premier Li Keqiang called
00:34for greater market integration and cooperation between the Association and China.
00:47An ultra-large-scale market is the greatest foundation for promoting economic prosperity,
00:53strengthening market coordination and synchronization is an important direction for our further
00:58cooperation.
00:59I believe that the closer and more organic integration and connectivity of the two major
01:03markets of China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations will definitely lead to more
01:09significant economies of scale, industrial agglomeration and development spillover effects.
