00:00Already after first sketches it was possible to see that our Enyaq RS race will be very sporty.
00:06And this was a task for our engineering to be as close as possible to our current Fabia RS Rally 2 concerning handling and interior.
00:14And I think we've done it quite well.
00:17The car has reinforced body shell and integrated safety frame just like in our competition car, according to the current FIA regulations.
00:31We have focused carefully on the handling.
00:33The basic powertrain layout, including the battery and the power, is identical to the production car.
00:38We have added a hydraulic handbrake, front and rear self-locking differential and few other competition bits.
00:45The goal was also to significantly reduce the weight.
00:48We save a lot on inside components and on unsprung brake and wheel mass.
00:54We also achieve big weight savings by using sustainable flux-based composite materials.
00:59Their production process is similar to that of carbon composite, but they are entirely natural-based.
01:05That is the key to the Enyaq RS race project as we are moving towards sustainable motorsport by developing and testing these materials.
01:12We use them on the roof, fenders and seals.
01:17The Enyaq RS race is a great example how ŠKODA Motorsport is bringing emotions to our RS road models.
01:24I think it will be really fun to drive.
