00:00Fitch Ratings reported the global decarbonization is progressing too slowly, with developed

00:06economies improving, while emerging markets have not made significant reductions.

00:11According to the report, global CO2 emissions increased by 1.8 percent last year, while

00:17the world's gross domestic product, or GDP, grew by 2.9 percent.

00:22Moreover, Fitch said, the slow decarbonization in emerging markets is alarming, especially

00:28considering their rapid GDP growth and increasing share of global energy consumption.
