00:00I love Snoop, DL, Double G, great person. So do you love Death Row Records? I love Death Row.
00:04I love Death Row. Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, fake news.
00:09Welcome to WatchMojo and today we're counting down our picks for the funniest impressions
00:14done by famous people. They don't necessarily need to be good, they just need to have made us laugh.
00:19So welcome back, welcome back, welcome back.
00:24So, so you, so you, you've never been on the show?
00:30Number 30, Ryan Reynolds as Hugh Jackman.
00:32I don't like Ryan Reynolds.
00:36And that's another point for Ryan Reynolds in the ongoing Jackman-Reynolds feud.
00:40The famous frenemies have a long history of publicly roasting each other,
00:43owing mostly to the fictional rivalry between their superhero characters, Wolverine and Deadpool.
00:48Back in civilian life, I wear a toupee, but nobody knows.
00:55Everybody knows.
00:57In this instance, while promoting their 2021 film Free Guy,
01:00Reynolds and his co-star Jodie Comer engaged in a game of first impressions,
01:04in which they were challenged to do their best impression of whichever
01:07name they plucked from a hat, with no rehearsal.
01:10I can't do this.
01:12Can.
01:13And you will.
01:14And you will.
01:16You're doing it right now.
01:17You're doing it right now.
01:18Uh, Ryan Reynolds.
01:20Yes!
01:20Really?
01:21Yes!
01:21Oh my God.
01:22Reynolds' Jackman impression is more or less a goofy,
01:25exaggerated, generic Australian accent.
01:27But as long as he's roasting himself, we'll give him a pass.
01:31Number 29.
01:32Eric Bana as Orlando Bloom.
01:34Orlando Bloom.
01:35You can do Orlando Bloom?
01:36Yeah.
01:36You guys know Orlando Bloom, right?
01:38From Lord of the Rings.
01:41Hot young thing, Orlando.
01:42Orlando Bloom, you know.
01:43You may know Bana from leading tough guy roles that he played in movies like Troy,
01:48Munich and more.
01:49But did you know that Bana got his start doing sketch comedy in his native Australia?
01:53With that in mind, it may not be entirely shocking
01:56that Bana has an uncanny knack for impressions.
01:58Well, Orlando, well, he couldn't be here tonight, but he's just like spewing.
02:02I mean, he'd love to be here, Jay.
02:03You know, like, he's so excited about, you know, he's working with Scott in Morocco.
02:07The Hulk star proved that on an early career episode of The Tonight Show,
02:11showing off an impression of his Blackhawk Down co-star Orlando Bloom.
02:14The show's clearly delighted audience goes wild for Bana's shockingly lived-in impression,
02:19as did everyone who's seen the clip in the years since.
02:22I was leaving New Zealand after Lord of the Rings.
02:24They had, like, my head on the back of a plane.
02:26Like, a painting of my head on the back of an Air New Zealand plane.
02:31I couldn't believe it, you know.
02:36I think Donald likes you, Rin.
02:38Yes.
02:39I've heard the stories many a time.
02:41I do.
02:42His stories are correct.
02:43I love it.
02:44At least one bath a week.
02:46For the uninitiated, no matter which iteration of RuPaul's Drag Race you're watching,
02:51you can always look forward to The Snatch Game, a parody of Match Game.
02:54Duh, the classic game show.
02:56Whereas the original Match Game featured celebrity panelists,
03:00the Drag Race parody is a challenge for the show's contestants
03:03as a means of proving their comedy skills.
03:05In this case, by pulling out their best impressions.
03:08It's great. That's how I keep my color.
03:10Oh!
03:10Donald, if you'd like to try, just give me a call.
03:12You're too old, honey. You're too old.
03:14I'm single.
03:15You're too old.
03:15I'm single. I'm free on Saturday night and I can fit my whole hand in my mouth.
03:19The results are always a hilariously mixed bag.
03:22But on the first season of the show's UK-based spinoff,
03:25there was one clear winner.
03:27James Lee Williams, better known as The Vivian,
03:30whose spot-on impression of the 45th president
03:33gave some of the best Trump impressionists a run for their money.
03:36Well, I just thought I'd ignore the game and just try and cover my own back.
03:40So, all tea, no collusion.
03:43No collusion.
03:44Especially with Russia and definitely not with China.
03:47Number 27, Chris Pine as Christopher Walken.
03:50James, do you ever watch the, um...
03:52Yeah, here you go. You're in an audience now.
03:54Do you ever watch the, uh...
03:56the animals on the Discovery Channel?
03:58The documentaries on the Discovery Channel?
04:01You ever see the one about the lions?
04:03Oh, no, not the best Chris debate again.
04:05Although the jury is still out on who the actual best Chris is,
04:09this copycat moment from the Late Late Show
04:11makes a pretty good case that it might be Mr. Pine.
04:13No offense to Mrs. Evans, Hemsworth, or Pratt.
04:16So there's this lion.
04:20He's the king of the jungle.
04:23We got a big mane out there.
04:26Consummate showman Pine,
04:28after some egging on from Late Late Show host
04:30and his Into the Woods co-star James Corden,
04:32busts out his best Walken.
04:34Admittedly, everyone has a Walken,
04:36but Pine's absurd Discovery Channel documentary monologue
04:39is a pretty unique take on a pretty unique actor.
04:41And the lion, as she sees this,
04:44she comes over and she starts messing with him,
04:47coming over, making trouble.
04:51Still. Still.
04:53Nothing.
04:57I hear you're great at impressions.
04:59Will you do one for us?
05:01That is putting me in a horrible spot.
05:05Remember our earlier criteria that the impressions on our list
05:09didn't necessarily have to be good or like even passable?
05:12Keep that in mind when considering Ben Affleck's
05:15truly dire Morgan Freeman impression.
05:17Those boys are out there dying. Dying for you, fool.
05:20I know. I know because I dug the graves.
05:22And all the time I've been asking myself,
05:23when? When, oh Lord.
05:29Affleck was promoting his directorial debut,
05:31Gone Baby Gone, alongside his brother.
05:33Future Oscar winner, Casey.
05:35When the younger Affleck demanded to hear Ben's attempt
05:38at mimicking Casey's Gone Baby Gone co-star,
05:40it's pretty clear that he knew what was to come.
05:43A for effort, Ben.
05:44Although we have to wonder if his impression
05:47is why Freeman hasn't starred in a Ben Affleck movie since.
05:50Morgan from Gone Baby Gone is, um...
05:54Now listen here, Casey.
05:56I'm not gonna tell you again.
05:58No, um...
05:59You're still on my lines, Casey.
06:05Well, wait a second.
06:06This is right after we got out of the trash compactor.
06:09Shouldn't my hair be all wet and matted with schmutz all through it?
06:12If you're familiar with Mark Hamill's decades of stellar voiceover work,
06:16then similarly to Eric Bana,
06:18it probably goes without saying that Hamill has a certain gift.
06:22Luke Skywalker himself demonstrated this on a 2019 appearance
06:25on Late Night with Seth Meyers,
06:27after the talk show host prompted him to reminisce
06:30about shooting the Star Wars films.
06:31Hey, kid.
06:33It ain't that kind of movie.
06:37In particular, Myers inquired as to what it was like
06:40to work with young hotshot and famous grump, Harrison Ford.
06:43Following a jokingly backhanded compliment to the quote-unquote
06:48Hamill launched into a startlingly accurate impression of his frequent co-star.
06:52The force is strong with this one indeed.
06:55If people are looking at your hair, we're all in big trouble.
07:00And I thought, he's so...
07:05He's so right.
07:10Am I in your canon?
07:11No, no.
07:12I mean, I haven't...
07:12It's like, I always...
07:13I feel like I wouldn't be able to do it until I've met you, but I have.
07:17Do you want me to do it?
07:18No, you can't, you can't.
07:19Go, go, go.
07:20To be clear, this isn't the last time you'll see the Loki star on our list,
07:24nor is it the last time you'll see him doing an impression on the Graham Norton show.
07:28In fact, it might just be from the exact same interview as this one.
07:32For now though, take a moment to enjoy this undeniably sweet,
07:35undeniably awkward exchange between Hiddleston and Norton.
07:39So, welcome back, welcome back, welcome back.
07:41Um, so, so you, so you, you've never been on the show?
07:48The host, clearly trying to push Hiddleston's buttons,
07:51corners the actor by inquiring if he's part of Hiddleston's repertoire of impressions.
07:55Suffice it to say, he is, and if we didn't know better,
07:59we'd think Hiddleston was gunning for Norton's job.
08:02Stay tuned for Kenneth Branagh's Ian McKellen as Gandalf impression.
08:06You shall not pass!
08:08Wham-num, crem-num, flam-num and dang-dong,
08:10you will not pass.
08:11Wing-dong, bang-dong, column and gollum,
08:14you shall definitely not pass.
08:19Number 23, Bryan Cranston as Kevin Hart.
08:22And I talked to him, I said, are you gonna go paragliding?
08:24He goes, no, no, no, no.
08:30Bryan, Bryan, let me tell you this, okay?
08:32It might seem way back in the rearview mirror for Cranston,
08:35but prior to his career-making role as Walter White in Breaking Bad,
08:39the multiple Emmy winner was a gifted comic performer,
08:42best known for his patriarchal character of Hal on Malcolm in the Middle.
08:46Having just finished shooting The Upside,
08:48a remake of the uplifting French film Intouchable,
08:51Cranston shared his experience of paragliding with his co-star Kevin Hart.
08:56We're all gonna die.
08:59I'm just not gonna help.
09:00Naturally, Cranston imitated the comedian in highly memorable fashion.
09:04We don't know what we're more bewildered by,
09:07the accuracy of the Breaking Bad star's impression,
09:10or that with relative ease he's able to hit Hart's trademark high notes.
09:14And we just raised him about 15 feet off the ground.
09:18Even that.
09:24Really?
09:27He just...
09:28Well, 15 feet for Kevin Hart is more than 15 feet for most people.
09:32Number 22.
09:33Robert De Niro as Jimmy Fallon.
09:49Not unlike the aforementioned Harrison Ford,
09:52De Niro has a notorious reputation for being a talk show host's nightmare,
09:56tight-lipped and grouchy.
09:58That said, for some reason,
10:00whenever the Raging Bull and Goodfellas star appears on The Tonight Show as hosted by Jimmy
10:04Fallon, he appears to be having the time of his life.
10:07That is, in his own subtle Robert De Niro-esque way.
10:10This is Robert De Niro, he's going to see and he'll judge, he'll be the judge then.
10:14Ready? Here we go.
10:21He's sticking his tongue out.
10:22It looks nothing like it.
10:24Fallon offers up Roots drummer Questlove's worst ever De Niro impression.
10:28The legendary musician and Oscar-winning filmmaker lives up to the title.
10:32Soon after, when prompted to do an impression of Fallon,
10:35De Niro doesn't even need words to convey Fallon's nervous, excitable energy.
10:46Look, he has two Oscars for a reason.
10:48Number 21.
10:49Jamie Foxx as Donald Trump.
10:58I know Harry, he's a great person.
11:00He couldn't vote for me at the time.
11:02Appearing on the Rap Radar podcast in 2022 to promote his Netflix original horror film
11:07Day Shift, Oscar-winning actor-comedian Foxx picked a perfect time to swoop in and drop
11:11a pitch-perfect Trump impression.
11:13Foxx quietly bided his time while his Day Shift co-star Snoop Dogg shared a personal
11:18story about an associate whom Trump had pardoned.
11:20I love Snoop D-O-double G, great person.
11:22So do you love Death Row Records?
11:23I love Death Row.
11:24I love Death Row.
11:25Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me.
11:28Fake news.
11:29As soon as the former president's name was dropped,
11:32Foxx sprang into a never-before-heard but instantly memorable impression.
11:37Snoop, as well as the podcast hosts, burst into hysterical,
11:41seemingly unstoppable laughter at Foxx's impeccable improv skills.
11:45What's your favorite Death Row record, Mr. Trump?
11:47All of them.
11:48But I don't get Death Row records.
11:50Don't try to pin me down.
11:51I see that he just, excuse me, excuse me.
11:53Fake news.
11:54Fake news.
11:55Number 20, Tom Hiddleston as Al Pacino and Robert De Niro.
11:59We don't know what's more impressive,
12:01the fact that Tom Hiddleston can recite the pivotal diner scene between Al Pacino
12:04and Robert De Niro from the 1995 crime film Heat from memory,
12:08or the fact that he straight up becomes both men in the process.
12:12You do what you do, I do what I gotta do.
12:17If I'm there and I gotta put you away, I won't like it.
12:23With De Niro sitting right there next to him,
12:25Hiddleston can't hide behind the camera.
12:27What if you do got me boxed in?
12:30I'm not gonna put you down.
12:33Thankfully, his impression garnered a round of applause from the legendary actor,
12:36and it's easy to see why.
12:39Number 19, Justin Timberlake as Jimmy Fallon.
12:42It's gotten worse?
12:43Yeah, I think it's gotten worse.
12:44Well, I don't think you...
12:46I mean...
12:49I don't even do that now, I don't know.
12:51I'm getting laughs from the roots every time I do it.
12:53With the amount of time these two celebs spend together,
12:56it's no wonder they've picked up on each other's mannerisms.
12:58Timberlake stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon in 2013
13:02to promote his album The 2020 Experience,
13:04and managed to impress the audience with his impression of the late night host.
13:08I said, give me four books to read, give me four books.
13:10I said, when are you supposed to be done?
13:11He said, tomorrow.
13:15It's not me, it's not an impression of me at all.
13:18I said, come on, my man.
13:19Despite Fallon's claims that it's gotten worse over the years,
13:21Timberlake is clearly dialed into his friends' movements,
13:24particularly when he gets frustrated.
13:27You do this thing where you're like...
13:31My hands are...
13:32Yeah, your hands and you're just kind of like...
13:34Yeah, like that.
13:40Impersonations are my thing, like, you know, amongst my friends,
13:43not like in public, but I'm decent at mimicking.
13:47In an interview with English DJ Tim Westwood,
13:50Drake refused to let the host's posing and purple shirt distract him,
13:54and proceeded to deliver a top-notch impression of Lil Wayne,
13:57also known as Wheezy, also known as Shrimp Daddy.
14:00With a throaty pitch, Drizzy knocked it out of the park
14:04with his label mate's comedic yet serious demeanor,
14:06and made sure that it was all in good fun.
14:09Yo, Wheezy, speed a minute.
14:10Tell me what's happening, man.
14:11Yeah, yeah, you know, I've been chilling, man, you know.
14:14I've just been, like, vibing out, you know,
14:16carnivore and stuff, that's it.
14:18Westwood maintained an intensely engaged presence,
14:21thus allowing his guest more freedom to hilariously clown on his good pal.
14:25Yeah, shout out to Kobe, but yeah, you know, that's my dog.
14:30That's classic Wayne, but that's my dog, that's my brother,
14:32you know, I do it all in good fun, man.
14:38Anne Hathaway visited Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2019 to promote her film Serenity,
14:42in which she stars opposite everyone's favorite shirtless Texan, Matthew McConaughey.
14:47Having spent a considerable amount of time with the actor,
14:49Hathaway managed to pick up on some of his unique verbal and physical habits.
15:04While her inflection leaves something to be desired,
15:07the way she stares off into the distance while waxing poetic about football
15:11proves that she has the McConaughey spirit in her.
15:17It's a great game, great game, great invitation to the world.
15:31When you work side by side with someone for multiple years,
15:34it's only natural that you'll pick up on how they walk, talk and act.
15:37This is doubly true for actors, whose job literally requires them to become someone else.
15:42This allowed Julie Bowen to learn how to mimic her Modern Family co-star,
15:46Sofia Vergara, so well, it's kind of scary.
15:57Bowen's Vergara impression is spot on,
16:00and her willingness to bust it out when her colleague is present,
16:03is a testament to their friendship.
16:13According to Dwayne The Rock Johnson,
16:16the best way to get chummy with Arnold Schwarzenegger is to perfect your impression of him.
16:20The film star and one-time governor of California has one of the most unique voices in the business,
16:25which means everyone and their grandmother has come out with their version of it at one point or another.
16:30And he caught on to it, you know and he's like what is that?
16:42The Rock's version involves a lot of mumbling, but generally gets the point across.
16:51During a visit to the Graham Norton show to promote Anchorman 2 The Legend Continues,
16:55Will Ferrell and Christina Applegate both tried their hand at impersonating their co-star,
16:59Harrison Ford, while Applegate's impression is more of a playful caricature, Farrell fully
17:12commits to the bit, doing an impressive job of capturing Ford's curmudgeonly demeanor.
17:26Farrell even does a decent job of getting Ford's voice right, much to the delight of
17:30the crowd.
17:33So, apparently Denzel Washington can do it all.
17:47During a visit to the Queen Latifah show in 2014, the two-time Oscar winner discussed
17:51his friendship with Jay-Z, even mentioning how he gifted Jiggaman a few lyrics while
17:56the two were in the studio one time.
18:02Of course, the best part of the interview is when Washington seamlessly slips into an
18:06impersonation of Hova, complete with childish giggles and a version of the rapper's unmistakable
18:12way of speaking.
18:24Anna Kendrick as Kristen Stewart
18:26Some impressions are so good, they're scary.
18:29Take Anna Kendrick's Kristen Stewart.
18:31During an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Kendrick transformed into the Twilight star, perfectly
18:36capturing her awkward mannerisms and nervous speaking style.
18:48What really sells this one is the uncanny way Kendrick manipulates her lips to look
18:52more like her subject.
18:54Kendrick claims she's done the impression for Stewart, and that the actress admitted
18:58it was on point.
19:01Honestly, once Kendrick starts her impression, it's easy to forget she isn't Kristen Stewart.
19:18Jay Moore as Christopher Walken
19:26With its unique cadence and fluctuating pitch, Walken's inflection is unlike any other.
19:40While many have replicated the actor's manner of speech, including Bradley Cooper,
19:59you knock it out of the park quite like Jay Moore.
20:01The comedian doesn't impersonate Walken, he becomes Walken.
20:15When Moore sat down with ESPN prior to Super Bowl XLV, he left it the opportunity to show
20:20off his Walken, and absolutely nailed it.
20:38Simon Helberg as Nicolas Cage
20:40While this Big Bang Theory star has a slew of top-notch celebrity impressions in his
20:44repertoire, his Nick Cage is on a whole other level.
20:57During a visit to Late Show with David Letterman, Helberg busted out the ultimate party trick.
21:02For a brief moment, Simon Helberg ceases to exist, and the world is temporarily populated
21:07by not one, but two Nicolas Cages.
21:18From the way he tenses up his body to the nasally voice and dramatic outburst, Helberg
21:22has clearly practiced this one in front of a mirror.
21:26Dwayne Johnson as Kevin Hart
21:35When you get two celebs with as much combined charisma as these to impersonate each other,
21:40the results are obviously going to be hilarious.
21:42In 2016, Ladd-Bible got Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart to participate in a little role
21:48reversal, with both actors choosing to go completely over the top in their impersonations
21:52of the other.
22:03Johnson and Hart have a ball, giggling like a couple of schoolboys at each other's parodies.
22:08We think it's safe to say this one is a tie.
22:21Number 8.
22:22Jamie Foxx as John Legend
22:27Wheel of Musical Impressions is a recurring segment on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy
22:31Fallon that requires guests to impersonate a random singer to the tune of a random song.
22:36Each of Jamie Foxx's impressions is hilarious, but his version of John Legend singing the
22:40Toys R Us jingle is truly a sight to behold.
22:50Foxx commits completely, dropping his voice an octave or two in order to sound more like
22:55the Grammy-winning singer.
22:56We think if Toys R Us still existed, they would have their newest spokesman.
23:17Number 7.
23:18Benedict Cumberbatch as Multiple Celebrities
23:20As if we needed another reason to love this immensely talented British actor, here comes
23:25a clip of him busting out a trio of spot-on impressions.
23:28Cumberbatch kicks things off with an Alan Rickman impersonation, no easy feat, and knocks
23:33it out of the park.
23:42He then seamlessly transitions into David Tennant for a moment before finishing things
23:46off with an impersonation of the man sitting next to him, host Jonathan Ross.
23:57Talk about a chameleon.
23:59Number 6.
24:00Matt Damon as Matthew McConaughey
24:03What kind of imagery does the name Matthew McConaughey inspire?
24:06Well, you're probably thinking bongos, shirtless summer days, and long stares into the night
24:11sky.
24:15During numerous appearances on Late Show with David Letterman, Matt Damon proved capable
24:19of combining the essentials for a solid McConaughey impression while demonstrating a masterful
24:24command of his fellow actor's vocal registry.
24:35You might say the collective performances are a how-to for any aspiring McConaughey
24:39impressionist.
24:40Engage the audience, reference Texas, and always, always talk about taking your shirt
24:45off.
24:46Practice makes perfect.
25:02Number 5.
25:03Bradley Cooper as Owen Wilson
25:14Some of our greatest actors have the strangest of voices, including Owen Wilson.
25:19He doesn't exactly utilize his entire mouth when speaking, or talk from deep within, but
25:24rather communicates from one central region with a hushed tone.
25:31Bradley Cooper superbly demonstrated this vocal style of speech on Inside the Actors
25:35Studio in a short yet remarkable impression.
25:44Owen Wilson doesn't speak long sentences.
25:46It's always a rat-a-tat-tat delivery, and Cooper simply killed it.
25:51Number 4.
25:52Alec Baldwin as Tracy Morgan
26:01It's always a special moment when a comedic actor impersonates a friend, and Alec Baldwin
26:05brought the goods for his Tracy Morgan impression on Conan.
26:22First Baldwin set the stage with rich descriptions of an early morning memory, as an exhausted
26:26Morgan admired the performance skills of the Jackson 5.
26:29Although Baldwin's impression was brief, it highlighted the hard emphasis on a single
26:34word, and Tracy's refusal to acknowledge when he forgot his lines.
26:38Bravo, Mr. Baldwin.
26:40Although we can't forget about Tina Fey's equally hilarious impression either.
26:50Number 3.
26:51Tom Hiddleston as Owen Wilson as Loki
26:54Here's another Owen Wilson impression, but with a twist.
26:58While appearing at the Australian film festival Popcorn Taxi, Tom Hiddleston was asked to
27:02deliver his fantastic take on Owen Wilson's voice, but as the Marvel character Loki.
27:13After a few self-empowering words, Hiddleston accepted the challenge and warped into the
27:17bumbling actor.
27:27While the vocal impression isn't as refined as Bradley Cooper's take, the overall mannerisms
27:32conveyed a man highly dedicated to the craft of personal mockery.
27:41Number 2.
27:42Ariana Grande as Celine Dion
27:45In her first talking appearance on a late-night talk show, the former Victoria star briefly
27:49played nervous before grabbing the mic and nailing one of the finest impressions ever
27:54seen on late-night television.
27:57Guided by the husky baritone vocals of Jimmy Fallon, Ariana Grande closed her eyes and
28:01let the spirit of Celine Dion fill her soul.
28:13And by that we mean she exaggerated each and every lyric with creative mumbo-jumbo.
28:18This impression is all about the ad-libs, and Ms. Grande stunned millions by achieving
28:22the French-Canadian's unique tone.
28:32As the cherry on top, Ariana spoke to the audience and character, and closed with a
28:36soft chest-thump.

29:06Number 1.
29:07Christina Aguilera as Britney Spears
29:09Ah, the wheel of musical impressions.
29:12The highly contrived Tonight Show segment designed to make viewers believe everything
29:16is random.
29:17Even so, it's a fantastic bit that allows guests to showcase their hidden talents.
29:21When Christina Aguilera appeared on Jimmy Fallon's show, she interpreted the distinct
29:25voice of Cher before singing This Little Piggy as former Mickey Mouse Club castmate Britney
29:39Spears.
29:40And, well, it was breathtaking, meaning Aguilera sucked out every breath and took her time
29:57finding the otherworldly pitch of the Princess of Pop.
30:10Seems like Xtina's got a thing for impressions.
30:13Just check out some more of her celebrity impersonations, including another one of Cher
30:16and BritBrit for a digital exclusive for The Voice.
