00:00Can I just try and respond on Brexit and the type of Brexit that I wanted and why

00:05I still believe in it? Because when I was prime minister, we faced an appalling pandemic. And

00:12then thanks to the brilliance, genius of British scientists, we got some vaccines.

00:18And there was AstraZeneca and there was Pfizer and several others. And because of the type of Brexit

00:24that we had negotiated, which we had fought for, let me complete this point, we were able

00:29to license those vaccines weeks and weeks faster than any other European country at a time when

00:36many, many people were dying every day.

00:38Anti-vaxxers said you could have derogated from the European regulation anyway.

00:40We would never have done so.

00:41Is the legacy of Brexit, is it not?

00:43No, I think the legacy of Brexit is that it saved many lives of elderly and vulnerable people in a

00:48particularly crucial time for our country. It has given us the freedom to do things

00:52differently and better and in the interests of the people of this country.
