00:17In your monitoring, how big was the effect of the phreatic eruption of Taal Volcano yesterday?

00:24And just to be clear, is this the phreatic eruption?

00:31What is the difference between the two?

00:35Yesterday, the bloom of Taal Volcano reached 2,400 meters.

00:42We did not record or report that there was ash that fell on the towns around Taal Volcano.

00:50Now, the phreatic eruption and the phreatomagmatic eruption are different.

00:56In the phreatic eruption, this is water coming into contact with hot volcanic materials or hot volcanic rocks or hot volcanic gases.

01:04There is no magma involved in the phreatic eruption.

01:08While for phreatomagmatic eruption, this happens when magma comes into contact with water.

01:14As a result, we have produced a mix of steam and ash and sometimes fragmented volcanic materials.

03:07The sulfur dioxide that we recorded in Taal Volcano yesterday was only at 2,532 tons per day.

03:15We also did not see any inflation or eruption in Taal Volcano.

03:22These are the things we are looking at before we raise the alert level from 1 to 2.

03:27Is it expected that Taal Volcano will continue to erupt?

03:36We expect that this will happen again and again.
