NSW Premier Chris Minns supports police decision to prohibit planned protests in Sydney

A legal bid by NSW Police to stop a pro-Palestinian rally planned for Sydney this weekend will play out this afternoon in the state's supreme court. NSW Premier Chris Minns backed the decision citing community and safety concerns.

00:15ramifications for those that live in Sydney, who are concerned about family, friends or

00:20community members in that part of the world, is not the right thing to do, hugely unsympathetic

00:27to those that are going through pain at the moment, and not in keeping or in recognition

00:32of the fact that yes, there's been protests that have taken place in Sydney, but surely

00:36one of the other 364 days of the year would be more appropriate.
