00:03Honestly, I anticipated some things, yes, I was filming things, but

00:06they schemed some things up for us as far as double moves and stuff,

00:09knowing where we'd be in.

00:10And yes, once it gets deep into the season, it's about players and not plays.

00:14So they went in with that.

00:16Do you feel like there was a need to maybe back up?

00:18There's all that talk about you being in the headlines and all that stuff.

00:21Do you feel like that made an impact on how maybe you were pressing and

00:24this and that?

00:25Not at all, no sir.

00:27Do you think there's a fine line between being patient and being aggressive?

00:32I mean, I guess that's why they're firing the double moves at you, right?

00:35Yeah, most definitely.

00:36You can see on one of the deep balls that I believe me and

00:39Deontay Johnson, I believe, dropped.

00:40I was really aggressive on the press man.

00:42And yeah, I just had to switch it up during the game because there's different

00:46receivers you can do that with and there's some that you can't do that with.

00:48Very shifty ones, more motor technique and running around for them.

00:53Big receivers, you can put hands on them, kind of slow them down,

00:55take the speed off them.

00:56So yeah, you gotta switch it up on different receivers.

00:59Are you looking forward to being tested this week, Cam?

01:01Yes, I'm ready to play football.

01:03How do you think they'll come after you?

01:05Every which way.

01:06You think they'll come after you on double moves?

01:07Yeah, double moves, deep balls, running at me.

01:11And I just have to do what I have to do and play my part.

01:13Okay, I was gonna say, I mean, what's your approach to that?

01:16What's your mindset when you know that they're gonna come at you with that stuff?

01:20Play my role on this defense, honestly, man, to the best of my ability.

01:24Play within the defense, don't do too much.

01:26Lock down my side of the field.

01:28When they're running my side, set the edge.

01:29And just play within the defense, like I said.

01:32Are you looking at what happened on Sunday as a positive,

01:35in the sense of it might be a reminder of just how much each play matters.

01:41And the minute you take your foot off the gas pedal,

01:44your spot could be in jeopardy?

01:45Most definitely, man.

01:47I think you hit it right on the head.

01:49He asked me before, have you ever been taken off the field for anything?

01:52And it hasn't happened.

01:54One eye opener for me, honestly.

01:56No, one thing I did say is when I touched the field, I did not wanna come off.

01:59And I put myself in that situation, and I'm my biggest critic.

02:02So I just had to come back here, and I'm going to work.

02:04You feel like you're playing to show that you're still capable of being

02:07a starter here, like- Yeah, we're gonna make that happen, yeah.

02:10But you feel like that's what you have to prove now is that- Yeah, every day.

02:13I mean, you're the number one corner.

02:15Did it surprise you that they would pull the number one corner?

02:18No, not if you're messing the game up.

02:20At the end of the day, it's a team game.

02:22It's not about one person.

02:24And if that one person is doing their job to the best of their ability,

02:27we have, like I said before in OTAs, we have people that can come in and

02:31make sure things are just the same.

02:32So not even in Little League or anything, you got pulled?

02:36No, not really.

02:37You said you're expecting them to come after you a little bit.

02:39Is that a good thing?

02:40Because that means more opportunities, more of a chance to move past last week?

02:44Yeah, most definitely, man.

02:46It's always a great opportunity when you have targets, and

02:48you get to make tackles and everything like that.

02:51Physical corner, I'm not afraid to come up and hit.

02:54I'll just be ready for anything.

02:55And just like I said, play within his defense.

02:58Don't do too much, put your eyes where your eyes need to be, just ball.

03:01What stands out about their weaponry in general?

03:04I mean, they have little fast guys, they have big tight ends, it's a unique group.

03:08Yeah, it is a unique group, man.

03:09Very, when I say they have a lot on offense to deal with as far as,

03:14like you said, tight ends, wide receivers.

03:16With the shifting is of Xavier in the backfield,

03:19you have the two top guys in the league.

03:21I've been rushing the past couple of years, so that is kind of tough to deal with.

03:25But Lou has a great plan, man, and we're planning to stop it.

03:28Gino saw them, obviously, more than anybody being on the team last year.

03:32Has he sort of given you any heads up of how they sort of run things around?

03:36Yeah, man, Gino gave us a little hint or two, man, yeah, he got us.

03:41Is there any hard feelings with Lou, kind of how we had to go about it?

03:44Not at all, not at all, man, there's always been tough love,

03:47I believe you guys know since the day I got here.

03:49He'll yell at me and we'll get it straight right then and there,

03:51and that was one of those situations.

03:53Yeah, we're in year three, but at the end of the day, you know, things happen,

03:56and I had to step up and, you know, take that role on, you know,

03:59to sit, rotate with the guys, and, you know, we won the game.

04:02How does it make you feel about Lou, that he's willing to go out and do that,

04:04and he's willing to kind of do what he's got to do, and he'll show you all a good time?

04:06I want to win, I want to win just as bad as me,

04:09and like I said, if I was the problem, you know, he took me out.

04:12Cam, the ups and downs can be crazy, right, man?

04:14Like one week you have the greatest interception

04:17that people have ever seen, a couple weeks later,

04:18you get pulled, how do you go about mentally balancing those ups and downs?

04:23Like you said, it's up and down always, you know,

04:25people are on your side and then they're not,

04:27so I really don't take anything into consideration, honestly, with that.

04:31Just trying to come in here, you know, and it's week by week, you know, game by game.

04:35You have every opportunity to showcase that, you know, the next game,

04:38so that's how I really go about it.

04:41I don't put too much effort into that.
