Iran said early on Wednesday (Oct 2) that its missile attack on Israel was finished barring further provocation, while Israel and the US promised to retaliate against Tehran's escalation as fears of a wider war intensified. 00:37According to Israel, Iran fired more than 180 ballistic missiles on Tuesday.

00:43Its Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, warned Iran would pay for its actions.

01:39While no injuries were reported in Israel, one person was killed in the occupied West

01:43Bank.

01:45Iran claimed its actions were defensive and solely aimed at Israeli military facilities.

01:51Tehran said it was in response to Israeli killings of leaders, as well as aggression

01:55in Lebanon against Hezbollah and in Gaza.
