Scores of protestors gathered outside the Red House on Monday ahead of the budget presentation.

Repeated chants calling on the Prime Minister to step down, and boos were heard as government ministers including Dr Rowley arrived.

Cameraman Brandon Benoit and reporter Cindy Raghubar-Teekersingh were there.
Transcript
00:00Protest action for over an hour outside the Red House on Monday morning.
00:13Citizens voicing their dissatisfaction with the state of the country and government's
00:17handling of national security, health, education and other sectors.
00:21We are fed up with the crime, we are fed up with the property tax, we are fed up with
00:29Kit Rowley, that he is advantaging this nation and they are not doing anything.
00:35They are having problems with all this tax and all this unfortunate things that they
00:39do to people.
00:42Like land tax and all the gas anywhere you go, you can't go in the sea.
00:47People can't work, they shut down all the rent in place.
00:50Venezuela is doing real crime in this country, where you make them come here and have a ball
00:54of time and give them rights to do crime in this country.
00:58While he is crying over a bracelet, people are dying from dengue.
01:03We are all in a mess, Rowley is doing nothing for the country.
01:11A seemingly constant chant of Rowley must go only broke when the opposition leader Kamala
01:17Prasad Bisesa arrived shortly before the House was due to meet.
01:22If it were my government, I would say we should increase the minimum wage to $25.
01:32I would say to give the public sector workers at least a 10% increase, at least a 10%, no
01:43wicked 4%.
01:44This is their eulogy.
01:45In their eulogy they will come to say all the nice things they have done, but have not
01:50done.
01:51Absolutely nothing they will say here today will change the fact that the PNM has worked
01:56to make the rich richer and the poor poorer.
