00:13Najib told the lawyer of SRC International that whether they could deal with this matter

00:19The lawyer had earlier asked Najib about the origin of the funds in his account and whether
00:24there was documentary evidence that the funds were not from SRC International or the Retirement
00:30Funds Incorporated.
00:32The lawyer had also asked if the word CSR, in reference to corporate social responsibility,
00:39had appeared anywhere in the bank statements related to the transactions.
00:43Najib replied that he agreed that such a word was not indicated in the bank statements.
00:50Najib was testifying as a defendant in the civil suit filed by SRC International against
00:55him and former CEO Nik Faisal Arif Kamil, who is still at large.
01:02During his hearing on Thursday, Najib also struggled to answer whether there was documentary
01:08evidence on the source of US$70 million credited into his bank account on January 3, 2012.
01:17He said the bank account was a so-called personal CSR account and not for personal
01:23use, but it did not qualify as a really personal account.
01:27SRC International is seeking damages, interests, costs and a court declaration that Najib is
01:35responsible for the company's losses due to his breach of duties and trust.
01:40The company is demanding that Najib pay back US$1.18 billion in losses that it has incurred.
