00:00The KL High Court heard from Datuk Seri Najib Razak that he was not the mastermind behind

00:07SRC International Sendirian Berhad, a former subsidiary of 1MDB.

00:13On the witness stand during the lawsuit against him and former CEO Nik Faisal Arif Kamil by

00:19SRC, Najib said he needed to clear up a false impression presented by one of the lawyers.

00:24Datuk Dr Gurdial Singh Nijjar, representing third-party respondent and ex-SRC Director

00:30Datuk Suboh Matt Yassin, had implied that Najib was the father of SRC.

00:37In his testimony on Monday, Najib said,

00:40I must correct you.

00:42I am certainly not the father of SRC, and it was never my idea.

00:48Gurdial acknowledged the clarification, and Najib reiterated to not label him as the father

00:53of SRC.

00:55The lawyer also questioned Najib about a 2 billion ringgit transfer out of SRC, and

01:00expected actions of the directors following an instruction allegedly approved by Najib

01:06as SRC's sole shareholder.

01:08The former premier said investments must have warranted the transfer, and added that directors

01:15at odds with SRC's decisions had the option to resign or discuss their disapproval directly

01:21with him.

01:22The trial continues before Justice Ahmad Fairooz Zainal Abidin.
