00:08The government called on importers not to delay the long-term importation of rice supplies to the provinces.

00:16In an inspection by House Speaker Martin Romualdez and several officials of the Bureau of Customs in Manila International Container Port,

00:22it was found that 25 tons of imported rice were left in the containers.

00:28It is possible that this will affect the supply and price of rice in the market.

00:33Officials reminded importers that it is strictly prohibited in the law to hoard and import smuggled rice.

00:41The President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. first ordered to reduce the price of imported rice

00:49and help our countrymen.

00:53When we went to the market, they told us that there is a shortage of rice.

00:57They said that there is a shortage of rice and that there is a shortage of rice supplies.

01:02But the rice was just hidden there.

01:06And now we can see that the Bureau of Customs is delaying the importation of rice.

01:12I hope they will stop their practice so that we can export all the rice we want.

01:20So that the price of rice can be reduced.

01:27Meanwhile, the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill has started today.

01:32According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council or NDRRMC,

01:37this will increase the well-being of Filipinos.

01:39The public is also prepared in case there is a big earthquake like the Big One.

01:45The earthquake drill started at 8 a.m. in Barangay Capitolio, Pasig City.

01:49Local governments in Metro Manila, Central Luzon, and Calabarzon were involved in the earthquake drill.
