A robot with a refined touch, a helper around the house and in the workshop.
00:07
This is just an animation, but Neuras latest robot, equipped with artificial intelligence,
00:13
is supposed to be useful all around.
00:16
Developer David Reger sells his AI-powered machines around the globe, including to China.
00:25
China is siphoning off our know-how either way.
00:29
And it happens in other countries, too.
00:32
I'd say we just have to move faster in Germany, develop technologies that allow us to keep
00:39
staying in a group of leaders.
00:42
After all, that is what has made Germany, developing technologies for the entire world.
00:53
It's the combination of proprietary AI software, design and many, many sensors that make these
01:00
robots work so well.
01:02
The machine can balance this ball, coming real close to human skills.
01:08
And they're even learning to make a breakfast sandwich.
01:12
Household helpers have become a major market as skilled employees are getting more scarce.
01:22
That's where we as German companies can be leading.
01:24
We don't want to miss out on that market, we're currently in a top position.
01:30
So take this mouse, the machine follows voice and other commands.
01:35
It makes programming easier.
01:37
Really, the robot doesn't care what exactly he's handling, he just does it.
01:43
Like now, he even feels when he's put it down.
01:49
The company has 260 employees from 35 countries.
01:54
Among them is a software developer from India.
01:57
Yeah, like in India, currently, as far as I know, we have the very least number of companies
02:06
who are manufacturing robots.
02:08
So for NeurA, this is also the best place or the best opportunity.
02:12
We can also set up something in India such that we can either sell robots or we can maybe
02:18
manufacture a robot over there and sell over there.
02:22
So from a business opportunity perspective, India is currently a big market.
02:28
By 2030, the company wants to build 5 million robots.
02:33
This year, they're expecting revenues of 50 million euros.
02:36
David Reger says that robotics might one day surpass the auto industry as Germany's leading
02:42
business sector.
