Is the government doing enough to tackle rising crime rates?

00:00I think the government's being purely motivated by financial considerations.

00:05Fighting crime costs lots of money, so they prefer not to spend the money on law and order for ordinary people,

00:13but just to look after the rich as usual.

00:16I hate going out anymore in the dark.

00:19I think everything's changed.

00:23When I was growing up, we could go to the park and we could go wherever we wanted,

00:29but now, I don't walk my dog in the dark.

00:36Our communities need more money, basically, at every level.

00:41Just the police, just listen to the public and what the public wants out there,

00:47instead of phobbing us off and going, yeah, whatever, no point, no point.

00:54I'd like to see a bobby on the street again. I think that would be really good.
