00:00:00In the name of Allah, the most merciful, the most compassionate.
00:00:20He said, O Shu'ayb, those who are arrogant among his people will surely expel you and those who believe with you from our city, or you will return to our religion. He said, even if we were displeased.
00:00:50O Shu'ayb, those who are arrogant among his people will surely expel you and those who believe with you from our city, or you will return to our religion. He said, even if we were displeased.
00:01:20O Shu'ayb, those who are arrogant among his people will surely expel you and those who believe with you from our religion. He said, even if we were displeased.
00:01:50O Shu'ayb, those who are arrogant among his people will surely expel you and those who believe with you from our religion. He said, even if we were displeased.
00:02:10The disbelieving elders of his nation said, should you follow Shu'ayb, you will be utter losers.
00:02:37Thereupon, a shocking catastrophe seized them, and they remained prostrate in their dwellings.
00:02:58Those who had charged Shu'ayb with lying became as though they had never lived there. It is they who became utter losers.
00:03:24Shu'ayb then departed from his people and said, O my people, surely I conveyed to you the message of my Lord and gave you sincere advice. How then can I mourn for a people who refuse to accept the truth?
00:03:41And We did not send any prophet to a town, except that We took its people by force and adversity, that they might humble themselves.
00:04:11Then We replaced the evil with the good, and they said, Our fathers have been afflicted with adversity and hardship, so We took them by force, and they did not perceive.
00:04:36Then We changed adversity into ease until they thrived and said, Our forefathers had also seen both adversity and prosperity, so We suddenly seized them without their even perceiving it.
00:04:52And had the people of those towns believed and been God-fearing, We would certainly have opened up their hearts to them.
00:05:15Had the people of those towns believed and been God-fearing, We would certainly have opened up to them blessings from the heavens and the earth. But they gave the lie to their prophets, and so We seized them for their deeds.
00:05:31Do the people of those towns feel secure that Our punishment will not come upon them at night while they are asleep?
00:05:51Do the people of those towns feel secure that Our punishment will not come upon them at night while they are asleep?
00:06:21Do they feel secure against Allah's design? None can feel secure against Allah's design except the utter losers.
00:06:49Has it not then become plain to those who have inherited the earth in the wake of the former generations that if We had so willed, We could have afflicted them for their sins?
00:07:02They, however, are heedless to the basic facts, and so We seal their hearts so that they hear nothing.
00:07:11The people of those towns have told you their stories, and their messengers came to them with clear proofs. But they did not believe in what they had denied before. Thus does Allah seal the hearts of the disbelievers.
00:07:35To those earlier communities, some of whose stories we relate to you, there had indeed come messengers with clear proofs. But they would not believe what they had once rejected as false. Thus it is that Allah seals the hearts of those who deny the truth.
00:07:56We did not find most of them true to their covenants. Indeed, We found most of them to be transgressors.
00:08:17Then after them We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his nobles, but they treated Our signs iniquitously.
00:08:46Observe then what happened to the mischief-makers.
00:08:50And Moses said, O Pharaoh, I am a messenger from the Lord of the Universe.
00:09:06It behoves me to say nothing about Allah except what is true. I have come to you with a clear sign of having been sent.
00:09:35So let the children of Israel go with me.
00:09:40Pharaoh said, If you have brought a sign, then bring it forth, if you are truthful.
00:10:04Thereupon Moses threw his rod, and suddenly it was a veritable serpent.
00:10:12Then he drew out his hand, and it appeared luminous to all beholders.
00:10:26The elders of Pharaoh's nation said, Surely this person is a skillful magician.
00:10:50Who seeks to drive you out from your land? What would you have us do?
00:11:05Then they advised Pharaoh, Put off Moses and his brother for a while, and send forth heralds to your cities.
00:11:15They will bring you every learned magician.
00:11:26And the magicians came to Pharaoh and said, Shall we indeed have a reward if we win?
00:11:44Pharaoh replied, Certainly, and you shall be among those who are near to me.
00:12:11Then they said, O Moses, will you first throw your rod, or shall we throw?
00:12:33Moses said, You throw. So when they threw their rods, they enchanted the eyes of the people, and struck them with awe, and produced a mighty sorcery.
00:12:56Then we directed Moses, Now you throw your rod, and lo! it swallowed up all their false devices.
00:13:13Thus was the truth established, and their doings were shown to be false.
00:13:25Pharaoh and his comrades were defeated and put to shame,
00:13:35and the magicians flung themselves prostrate,
00:13:47saying, We believe in the Lord of the whole universe,
00:13:56the Lord of Moses and Aaron.
00:14:00Pharaoh said, What? Do you believe before you have my permission?
00:14:24Surely, this is a plot you have contrived to drive out the rulers from the capital.
00:14:30So you shall see, I shall cut off your hands and feet on the opposite sides, and then crucify you all.
00:14:51They replied, We shall surely return to our Lord.
00:15:04And you shall not take revenge on us, except that we believe in the signs of our Lord, when they come to us.
00:15:17Our Lord, pour upon us patience, and let us die as Muslims.
00:15:25Will you punish us just because we believed in the signs of our Lord, when they came to us?
00:15:32Our Lord, shower us with perseverance, and cause us to die as those who have submitted to you.
00:15:40The leaders of Pharaoh's nation said, Will you leave alone Moses and his people?
00:16:09Will you leave alone Moses and his people to spread mischief in the land and forsake you and your gods?
00:16:14Pharaoh replied, We will kill their male children and spare their female ones.
00:16:21For indeed, we hold irresistible sway over them.
00:16:26Moses said to his people, Seek help from Allah and be steadfast.
00:16:51The earth is Allah's. He bestows it on those of His servants He chooses. The end of things belongs to the God-fearing.
00:17:00The people of Moses replied, We were oppressed before your coming to us and after it.
00:17:29Moses said, Your Lord will soon destroy your enemy and make you rulers in the land. Then He will see how you act.
00:17:52We afflicted the people of Pharaoh with hard times and with poor harvest that they may heed.
00:18:23But whenever prosperity came their way, they said, This is our due.
00:18:31And whatever hardship befell them, they attributed it to the misfortune of Moses and those who followed him.
00:18:40Surely, their misfortune had been decreed by Allah, but most of them do not know that.
00:18:47And they said to Moses, Whatever sign you might produce before us in order to enchant us, we are not going to believe you.
00:19:08Then We afflicted them with a great flood and locusts and lice and frogs and blood.
00:19:34All these were distinct signs and yet they remained haughty. They were a wicked people.
00:20:04Each time a scourge struck them, they said, O Moses, pray for us to your Lord on the strength of the prophethood He has bestowed upon you.
00:20:15Surely, if you remove this scourge from us, we will truly believe in you and will let the children of Israel go with you.
00:20:35But when We removed the scourge from them until a term, a term which they were bound to reach, they at once broke their promise.
00:20:47So We inflicted Our retribution on them and caused them to drown in the sea because they gave the lie to Our signs and were heedless of them.
00:21:14And We made heirs to the people who used to plunder the east of the earth and the west of it, which We have blessed.
00:21:25And the word of your Lord, the best, was fulfilled for the children of Israel because they were patient.
00:21:36And We destroyed what Pharaoh and his people were building and what they were erecting.
00:21:46And We made those who had been persecuted inherit the eastern and western lands, which We had blessed.
00:21:54Thus your Lord's gracious promise was fulfilled to the children of Israel for they had endured with patience.
00:22:01And We destroyed all that Pharaoh and his people had wrought and all that they had built.
00:22:09And We transgressed with the Children of Israel to the sea, and they came upon a people who turned their backs on their idols.
00:22:23They said, O Moses, make for us a god like they have gods. He said, You are a people who are ignorant.
00:22:38And We destroyed all that Pharaoh and his people had wrought and all that they had built.
00:22:45And We destroyed all that Pharaoh and his people had wrought.
00:22:52And We destroyed all that Pharaoh and his people had built.
00:22:57Indeed, these are those who are destroyed in that which they are, and false is that which they used to do.
00:23:17He said, Is there any god other than Allah whom I desire for you, and He has favored you over the worlds?
00:23:27Moses said, Should I seek any god for you other than Allah, although it is He who has exalted you above all?
00:23:58And call to mind when We delivered you from Pharaoh's people, who perpetrated on you a terrible torment, putting your males to death and sparing your females.
00:24:11Surely in it there was an awesome trial for you from your Lord.
00:24:28And We appointed for Moses thirty nights, to which We added ten, whereby the term of forty nights set by his Lord was fulfilled.
00:24:38And Moses said to Aaron, his brother, Take care of my people.
00:24:45And Moses said to Aaron, his brother, Take care of my people.
00:24:52And Moses said to Aaron, his brother, Take my place among my people, act righteously, and do not follow the path of those who create mischief.
00:25:05And when Moses came to our meeting place, and his Lord spoke to him, he said, My Lord, show me, I look to You.
00:25:18He said, If you see me, but look to the mountain, and if its place is settled, then you will see me.
00:25:28And when Moses came to our meeting place, and his Lord spoke to him, he said, My Lord, show me, I look to You.
00:25:39And when Moses came to our meeting place, and his Lord spoke to him, he said, My Lord, show me, I look to You.
00:25:49And when Moses came to our meeting place, and his Lord spoke to him, he said, My Lord, show me, I look to You.
00:26:01He said, If you see me, but look to the mountain, and if its place is settled, then you will see me.
00:26:12And as soon as his Lord unveiled his glory to the mount, he crushed it into fine dust, and Moses fell down in a swoon.
00:26:23And when he recovered, he said, Glory be to You, to You I turn in repentance, and I am the foremost among those who believe.
00:26:33He said, O Moses, I have indeed preferred you to others by virtue of the message I have entrusted to you, and by virtue of my speaking to you.
00:27:03Hold fast, therefore, to whatever I have granted you, and give thanks.
00:27:10And We have written for him in the Tablets, of all things, a lesson and a detail for all things.
00:27:20So take it with strength, and order your people to take it with the best of them. I will show you the home of the transgressors.
00:27:31And We ordained for Moses in the Tablets all manner of admonition and instruction concerning all things, and said to him, Hold to these with all your strength, and bid your people to follow them in accord with their best understanding.
00:27:50I shall soon show you the habitation of the wicked.
00:27:55I shall turn away from My Signs those who are arrogant in the land without right, and if they see every sign, they will not believe in it.
00:28:08And if they see the way of right, they will not take it as a way, and if they see the way of error, they will take it as a way.
00:28:20That is because they have denied Our Signs and have been heedless of them.
00:28:50They know the deeds of those who reject Our Signs, but they do not know the deeds of those who reject Our Signs.
00:28:58They know the deeds of those who reject Our Signs, but they do not know the deeds of those who reject Our Signs.
00:29:16They know the deeds of those who reject Our Signs as false, and to the meeting of the Hereafter as false. Shall they be recompensed except according to their deeds?
00:29:29And the people of Moses took after him a calf from among their camels, a body with horns. Did they not see that it did not speak to them or guide them to a way? They took it and were wrongdoers.
00:30:00Did they not see that it did not speak to them or guide them to a way? They took it and were wrongdoers.
00:30:11And when it fell into their hands and they saw that they had gone astray, they said, If our Lord does not have mercy on us and forgive us, we will surely be of the losers.
00:30:41And when Moses returned to his people angry and sorry, he said, Evil is what you have done to me after me, hasten the command of your Lord.
00:31:00And he threw down the tablets and took the head of his brother and dragged it to him. He said, O son of my mother, the people have made me weak and they are about to kill me. So do not make enemies of me and do not make me with the wrongdoing people.
00:31:30And when Moses returned to his people angry and sorry, he said, Evil is what you have done to me after me. He threw down the tablets and took the head of his brother and dragged it to him. He said, O son of my mother, the people have made me weak and they are about to kill me.
00:31:55So do not make enemies of me and do not make me with the wrongdoing people.
00:32:02Thereupon Moses said, Our Lord, bestow forgiveness upon me and my brother and admit us to your mercy, for you are most merciful of the merciful.
00:32:26Verily, those who worship the calf will certainly incur indignation from their Lord and will be abased in the life of this world. Thus, those who worship the calf will certainly incur indignation from their Lord and will be abased in the life of this world.
00:32:56As for those who do evil and later repent and have faith, such shall find their Lord all-forgiving, all-compassionate after they repent and have faith.
00:33:26And when the anger of Moses was stilled, he took up the tablets again, the text of which comprised guidance and mercy to those who fear their Lord.
00:33:54And Moses chose seventy men from among his people for Our appointment.
00:34:02So when the earthquake overtook them, he said, My Lord, if You will, destroy them before me.
00:34:13Will You destroy us for what the foolish among us have done? It is nothing but Your trial, by which You mislead whom You will and guide whom You will. You are our protector, so forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the best of forgivers.
00:34:41And out of his people Moses singled out seventy men for Our appointment.
00:34:47Then when a violent shaking seized them, he addressed his Lord, Had You willed, O my Lord, You could have destroyed them and me long ago.
00:34:58Will You destroy us for what the foolish among us have done? It is nothing but Your trial, by which You mislead whom You will and guide whom You will. You are our protector, so forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the best of forgivers.
00:35:28And We have been guided to You. He said, My punishment will befall on whomsoever I will, and My mercy is all-encompassing. So I will give it to those who are righteous and give zakat, and those who believe in Our signs.
00:35:58And We have been guided to You. He said, My punishment will befall on whomsoever I will, and My mercy is all-encompassing. So I will give it to those who are righteous and give zakat, and those who believe in Our signs.
00:36:28And We have been guided to You. He said, My punishment will befall on whomsoever I will, and My mercy is all-encompassing. So I will give it to those who are righteous and give zakat, and those who believe in Our signs.
00:36:58And We have been guided to You. He said, My punishment will befall on whomsoever I will, and My mercy is all-encompassing. So I will give it to those who are righteous and give zakat, and those who believe in Our signs.
00:37:28And We have been guided to You. He said, My punishment will befall on whomsoever I will, and My mercy is all-encompassing. So I will give it to those who are righteous and give zakat, and those who believe in Our signs.
00:37:58Say, O mankind, indeed I am the Messenger of Allah to you all, to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. There is no deity except Him, and He gives life and causes death. So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the Prophet of the Ummah, the one who believes in Allah and His words.
00:38:25Say, O Muhammad, O people, I am Allah's Messenger to you all, of Him to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. There is no deity except Him, and He gives life and causes death. So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the one who believes in Allah and His words.
00:38:55Say, O Muhammad, O people, I am Allah's Messenger to you all, of Him to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. There is no deity except Him, and He gives life and causes death. So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the Prophet of the Ummah, the one who believes in Allah and His words.
00:39:25And We cut off from them two-tenths of the heads of the nations. And We inspired to Moses when his people asked him to strike with a staff like a stone. Then two-tenths of a spring came out of him. Each of the people knew what they drank.
00:39:52And We divided them into twelve tribes, forming them into communities.
00:40:19When his people asked Moses for water, We directed him, Smite the rock with your rod. Then twelve springs gushed forth from the rock, and every people knew their drinking-places.
00:40:32And We caused thick clouds to provide them shade, and sent down upon them manna and quails, saying, Eat of the clean things that We have provided you. They wronged not Us, but it was themselves that they wronged.
00:41:02And remember when it was said to them, Dwell in this town, and eat plentifully of whatever you please, and say, Repentance, and enter the gate prostrate.
00:41:27We shall forgive you your sins, and shall bestow further favours on those who do good.
00:41:52Then the wrongdoers among them substituted another word in place of the one told to them. So We sent upon them a scourge from the sky as a punishment for their wrongdoing.
00:42:06And ask them about the town that was near the sea, when they transgressed on the sabbath, when their swamps came upon them on the sabbath, and on the day when they did not fast, it did not come upon them. Thus do We test them for their transgression.
00:42:33And ask the people of Moses concerning the town situated along the sea, how its people profaned the sabbath, when fish came to them breaking the water's surface on sabbath days, and it would not come to them on other than sabbath days. Thus did We try them because of their disobedience.
00:42:55And when a nation among them said, Why do you call upon a people whom Allah will destroy or punish with a severe punishment? They said, As an excuse to your Lord, so that they may be righteous.
00:43:25They said, We admonish them in order to be able to offer an excuse before your Lord, and in the hope that they will guard against disobedience.
00:43:55Then, when they forgot what they had been exhorted, We delivered those who forbade evil and afflicted the wrongdoers with a grievous chastisement because of their evil doing.
00:44:13And when they persisted in pursuing that which had been forbidden, We said, Become despised apes.
00:44:43And recall when your Lord proclaimed that He would continually set in authority over them till the Day of Judgment, those who would ruthlessly oppress them.
00:45:07Surely, your Lord is swift in chastising, and yet He is all-forgiving, all-merciful.
00:45:35And We dispersed them through the earth in communities. Some were righteous, others were not. And We tested them with prosperity and adversity, that they may revert to righteousness.
00:45:50But there came after them successors, inheritors of the Scripture, who took a portion of that which was less, and said, He will be forgiven us.
00:46:02And if there should come to them another portion like it, they would take it. Did they not take upon themselves the covenant of the Scripture, that they should say nothing against Allah but the truth, and study all that is in it? And the abode of the Hereafter is better for those who are righteous. Do you not understand?
00:46:32They inherited the Scriptures, and yet kept themselves occupied in acquiring the goods of this world, and kept saying, We shall be forgiven. And when there comes to them an opportunity for acquiring more of those goods, they seize it.
00:46:49Was not the covenant of the Book taken from them, that they would not ascribe to Allah anything but the truth? And they have read what is in the Book, and know that the abode of the Hereafter is better for the God-fearing. Do you not understand?
00:47:19Those who hold fast to the Book and establish prayer, we shall not allow the reward of such righteous people to go to waste.
00:47:49And remember when We shook the mountain over them, as though it were a canopy, and they thought that it was going to fall over them. And We said, Hold firmly to that which We have given you, and remember what is in it, that you may guard against evil.
00:48:15And when your Lord took the children of Adam from their backs, their offspring, and made them testify against themselves, saying, Am I not your Lord? They said, Yes, we testify that you will say on the Day of Resurrection, We were heedless of this.
00:48:45And remember when your Lord took the children of Adam from their backs, their offspring, and made them testify against themselves, saying, Am I not your Lord? They said, Yes, we testify that you will say on the Day of Resurrection, We were heedless of this.
00:49:08Or say, It was our forefathers before us who associated others with Allah in His divinity.
00:49:36We were merely their offspring who followed them. Would you destroy us for the deeds of the unrighteous?
00:49:44Thus do We expound the signs, that they may turn back to the right path.
00:49:58And recite to them, O Muhammad, the story of the man to whom We gave Our signs, and who turned away from them. Then ultimately Satan caught up with him, and he was led astray.
00:50:25And if We had willed, We would have raised him thereby, but he remained on the earth and followed his desire.
00:50:36So his likeness is like the likeness of a dog, if you carry it, it barks, or you leave it, it barks.
00:50:44That is the likeness of the people who denied Our signs. So tell the stories, that they may reflect.
00:50:57Now had We so willed, We could indeed have exalted him through those signs, but he clung to earthly life, and followed his carnal desires.
00:51:09Thus his parable is that of the dog who longs out his tongue, whether you attack him or leave him alone. Such is the parable of those who reject Our signs as false.
00:51:22Narrate to them these parables, that they may reflect.
00:51:27Evil is the example of the people who reject Our signs as false, and perpetrate wrong against their own selves.
00:51:49He whom Allah guides, he alone is rightly guided. And he whom Allah lets go astray, it is they who are the losers.
00:52:12And indeed We have planted for Hell a great number of jinn and men. For them are hearts by which they understand not, and for them are eyes by which they see not.
00:52:27And for them are ears by which they hear not. They are like cattle, nay, they are more astray. It is they who are heedless.
00:52:42And certainly We have created for Hell many of the jinn and mankind. They have hearts with which they fail to understand, and they have eyes with which they fail to see, and they have ears with which they fail to hear.
00:53:00They are like cattle, indeed even more astray. Such are utterly heedless.
00:53:07And to Allah belong the most beautiful names, so invoke Him with them. And leave those who are atheists in His names. They will be recompensed for what they used to do.
00:53:26Allah has the most excellent names, so call on Him by His names, and shun those who distort them. They shall soon be requited for their deeds.
00:53:39And of those whom We have created, there is a party, and they are just.
00:53:50And of those whom We have created, there is a party, who guide people through the truth, and act justly according to it.
00:54:00As for those who reject Our signs as false, We shall lead them step by step to their ruin, without their even perceiving it.
00:54:20And for this purpose I shall grant them respite. My design is incontrovertible.
00:54:45Have they not pondered that their companion, i.e. the Prophet Muhammad, is not afflicted with insanity? He is only a plain warner.
00:54:57Have they not pondered in the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and in all that Allah has created, that it may well be that their time is near? Then in what speech after this will they believe?
00:55:23Have they not pondered in the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and in all that Allah has created, that it may well be that their time is near? Then in what speech after this will they believe?
00:55:39Those whom Allah lets go astray, there is no guide, and He will leave them to stumble blindly in their transgression.
00:55:59They ask you about the Hour, when will it be established? Say, its knowledge is only with my Lord. He does not make it manifest for its time except by Him.
00:56:15They ask you about the Hour, when will it be established? Say, its knowledge is only with my Lord. He does not make it manifest for its time except by Him.
00:56:38They ask you concerning the Hour, when will its coming be? Say, the knowledge of it is with my Lord alone. None but He will disclose it at its time. That will weigh heavily on the heavens and the earth, and it shall come upon you all too suddenly.
00:56:59They ask you as if you are eagerly inquisitive about it. Say to them, the knowledge of it lies with none except Allah. But most people are unaware of this reality.
00:57:12Say, I have no power to benefit or harm myself except what Allah wills. And had I known the unseen, I would have asked for more of the good. And evil has not touched me. I am but a warner and a bearer of good tidings for a people who believe.
00:57:42Tell them, O Muhammad, I have no power to benefit or harm myself except as Allah may please. And had I knowledge of the unseen, I should have amassed all kinds of good, and no evil would have ever touched me. I am merely a warner and a herald of glad tidings to those who have faith.
00:58:06It is He who created you from a single soul, and made from it its mate, that it may dwell therein. But when He covered it, it carried a light burden, and passed away.
00:58:25It is He, Allah, who created you from a single being, and out of it He made its mate, that He may find comfort in her. And when He covers her, she bears a light burden, and passes away.
00:58:55And when He covers her, she bears a light burden, and passes away. Then, when she grows heavy, they pray to their Lord, If You bestow upon us a healthy child, we will surely give thanks.
00:59:07So when He gave them a goodly child, He made for him a partner in what He gave them. So exalted is Allah above what they associate with Him.
00:59:24But when He bestows upon them a healthy child, they attribute to Him partners in what Allah had bestowed upon them. Exalted is Allah above that which they associate with Him.
00:59:38Do they associate with Allah in His divinity those who can create nothing? Rather, they themselves are created.
00:59:55They have no power to help others, nor can they help themselves.
01:00:12And if you call them to true guidance, they will not follow you. It is all the same for you, whether you call them to true guidance or keep silent.
01:00:38Those whom you invoke other than Allah are creatures like you. So invoke them, and see if they answer your call, if what you claim is true.
01:01:05Do they have feet to walk on? Or do they have hands to hold on to? Or do they have eyes to see? Or do they have ears to hear? Say, Invoke your partners, and then plot against me, and you will not succeed.
01:01:35Do they have feet to walk on? Or do they have hands to hold on to? Or do they have eyes to see? Or do they have ears to hear? Say, Invoke your partners, and then plot against me, and you will not succeed.
01:01:58My guardian is Allah, who has revealed the Book, and it is He who protects the righteous.
01:02:15Those whom you invoke other than Allah, they can neither help themselves nor you.
01:02:37And if you call them to true guidance, they will not hear, and you observe them looking at you, whereas they have no power to see.
01:03:00O Prophet, show forgiveness, enjoy what is good, and avoid the ignorant.
01:03:26And if it happens that a prompting from Satan should stir you up, seek refuge with Allah. He is all-hearing, all-knowing.
01:03:49If the God-fearing are instigated by any suggestion of Satan, they instantly become alert, whereafter they clearly perceive the right way.
01:04:09As for their brethren, the Satans, they draw them deeper into error, and do not relax in their efforts.
01:04:18And if you do not bring them a sign, they say, Why did you not choose it? Say, I only follow what is revealed to me from my Lord. This is insight from your Lord, and guidance and mercy for a people who believe.
01:04:48And if you do not bring them a sign, they say, Why did you not choose it? Say, I only follow what is revealed to me from my Lord. This is insight from your Lord, and guidance and mercy for a people who believe.
01:05:07And when the Quran is recited, listen carefully to it, and keep silent, so that you may be shown mercy.
01:05:37And remember, O Prophet, your Lord in your heart with humility and fear, and without raising your voice, remember Him in the morning and evening, and do not become of those who are negligent.
01:06:07The angels who are near to your Lord never turn away from His service out of arrogance. They rather glorify Him and prostrate themselves before Him.
01:06:26In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.
01:06:56They ask you concerning the spoils of war. Tell them, The spoils of war belong to Allah and the Messenger. So fear Allah and set things right among you, and obey Allah and His Messenger if you are true believers.
01:07:20The true believers are those who, when Allah's name is mentioned, their hearts quake, and when Allah's name is mentioned, their hearts tremble.
01:07:50When His verses are recited to them, their faith grows, and who put their trust in their Lord,
01:08:07who establish prayer and spend out of what We have provided them.
01:08:12They are the true believers. They have high ranks with their Lord, and forgiveness for their sins, and an honorable sustenance.
01:08:39Just as your Lord brought you out of your house with the truth, and a group of the believers disliked it.
01:08:52Now with regard to the spoils, the same situation exists as when your Lord brought you forth from your home in a righteous cause, while a party among the believers was much averse to it.
01:09:05They dispute with you about the truth after that had become evident, as if they were being driven to death with their eyes wide open.
01:09:28And remember when Allah promised you,
01:09:55that one of the two hosts would fall to you, and you wished that the one without arms should fall into your hands.
01:10:06But Allah sought to confirm the truth by His words, and to annihilate the last remnant of the unbelievers.
01:10:15So that He might prove the truth to be true, and the false to be false, however much the evildoers might dislike it.
01:10:33And remember when you implored your Lord for help, and He responded to you,
01:11:00Allah meant this as glad tidings, and in order that your hearts may be set at rest.
01:11:23For every help comes from Allah alone. Surely Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.
01:11:54And remember when Allah brought on you drowsiness, giving you a feeling of peace and security coming from Him,
01:12:08and He sent down rain upon you from the sky, that He might thereby cleanse you, and take away the pollution of Satan from you, and strengthen your hearts, and steady your feet.
01:12:21And remember when your Lord inspired the angels,
01:12:47I am certainly with you, so make firm the feet of those who believe, I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve.
01:12:57So strike at their necks, and strike at every paw and tip.
01:13:02This is because they defied Allah and His Messenger.
01:13:25Whoever defies Allah and His Messenger must know that Allah is severe in punishment.
01:13:41That is your punishment from Allah.
01:13:44So taste this punishment, and know that the chastisement of the fire awaits the unbelievers.
01:13:55Believers, whenever you encounter a hostile force of unbelievers, do not turn your backs to them in flight.
01:14:15And whoever turns his back on them on that Day, except that he is inclined to fight, or that he is inclined to join a party,
01:14:29then he has indeed incurred the wrath of Allah, and his abode is Hell, and an evil destination.
01:14:44And whoever turns his back on them on that Day, except that he is inclined to fight, or that he is inclined to join a party,
01:14:49then he has indeed incurred the wrath of Allah, and his abode is Hell, and an evil destination.
01:15:15So the fact is that it was not you, but it was Allah who killed them.
01:15:20And it was not you when you threw sand at them, but it was Allah who threw it.
01:15:26And the believers were employed for the task, that He might cause the believers to successfully pass through this test.
01:15:35Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
01:15:40This is His manner of dealing with you.
01:15:44As for the unbelievers, Allah will surely undermine their designs.
01:15:50This is His manner of dealing with you.
01:15:54As for the unbelievers, Allah will surely undermine their designs.
01:16:19Tell the unbelievers, if you have sought a judgment, then surely a judgment has come to you.
01:16:32And if you desist from disobedience, it is all the better for you.
01:16:37But if you revert to your mischief, we will again chastise you and your host,
01:16:43howsoever numerous, will never be of any avail to you.
01:16:48Know well, Allah is with the believers.
01:17:05Believers, obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not turn away from Him after you hear His command.
01:17:19And do not be like those who say, We hear, though they do not hearken.
01:17:38Indeed, the worst kind of all beasts in the sight of Allah are the people who are deaf and dumb,
01:17:45and who do not understand.
01:18:00And had Allah known any good in them, He would surely have made them hear.
01:18:05But considering what they are, even if He had made them hear,
01:18:09they would have surely turned away in aversion.
01:18:16O you who believe! Respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life.
01:18:26And know that Allah moves between man and his heart, and that to Him you will be gathered.
01:18:46Know well that Allah stands between a person and his heart,
01:18:51and it is to Him that all of you shall be mustered.
01:18:56And fear a trial that will not befall those of you who are unjust,
01:19:05and know that Allah is severe in punishment.
01:19:12And guard against the mischief that will bring punishment not only to the wrongdoers among you.
01:19:19Know well that Allah is severe in punishment.
01:19:42And remember when you were few in number and deemed weak in the land,
01:19:47when you were fearful lest people do away with you.
01:19:51And then He provided you refuge, strengthened you with His help,
01:19:56and provided you sustenance with good things that you may be grateful.
01:20:01Believers, do not be unfaithful to Allah and the Messenger,
01:20:06nor be knowingly ungrateful to Him.
01:20:10And fear Allah and His Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life.
01:20:16And know that Allah is severe in punishment.
01:20:20And fear Allah and His Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life.
01:20:25And remember when you were few in number and deemed weak in the land,
01:20:30nor be knowingly unfaithful to your trusts.
01:20:49Know well that your belongings and your children are but a trial,
01:20:54and that there lies a mighty reward with Allah.
01:21:00Believers, if you fear Allah, He will grant you a criterion
01:21:05and will cleanse you of your sins and forgive you of your sins.
01:21:10And Allah is the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
01:21:31Allah is the Lord of abounding bounty.
01:21:50And recall how those who disbelieved schemed against you to take you captive
01:21:55or kill you or drive you away.
01:21:58They schemed and Allah also schemed.
01:22:02Allah is the best of those who scheme.
01:22:59And also recall when they said,
01:23:01O Allah, if this indeed be the truth from You,
01:23:05then rain down stones upon us from Heaven,
01:23:08or bring upon us a painful chastisement.
01:23:23But Allah was not to chastise them,
01:23:26while you are in their midst.
01:23:28Nor was Allah going to chastise them
01:23:31while they sought His forgiveness.
01:23:56But why should Allah not chastise them now
01:24:00when they are hindering people from the Holy Mosque,
01:24:04even though they are not even its true guardians?
01:24:07For its true guardians are none but the God-fearing,
01:24:11though most of them do not know that.
01:24:28Their prayer at the house is nothing but whistling and hand clapping.
01:24:33Taste then the chastisement for your denying the truth.
01:25:05Surely those who deny the truth spend their wealth to hinder people from the way of Allah.
01:25:13They will continue to so spend until their efforts become a source of intense regret for them
01:25:20and then they will be vanquished and then these deniers of the truth will be driven to hell.
01:25:42فَيَجْعَلَهُ فِي جَهَنَّمَ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ
01:25:51So that Allah may separate the bad from the good and join together all those who are bad into a pile
01:25:59one upon another and cast them into hell.
01:26:03They, it is they who are the losers.
01:26:24O Prophet, tell the unbelievers that if they desist from evil, their past deeds shall be forgiven
01:26:32and if they revert to their past ways, then it is well known what happened with the people of the past.
01:26:58And fight against them until the mischief ends and the way prescribed by Allah, the whole of it prevails.
01:27:07Then if they give up mischief, surely Allah sees what they do.
01:27:13وَإِن تَوَلَّوْا فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَوْلَاكُمْ نِعْمَ الْمَوْلَى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ
01:27:25But if they turn away, then know well that Allah is your Protector, an excellent Protector and an excellent Helper.
