The Best in Chinese Tech Is Being Showcased at the APSARA Conference in Hangzhou

00:16This one in particular is meant for elderly care, with its developers saying they wanted

00:21an automated care that can mix traditional Chinese medicine with innovative robotics.

00:25The company's spokesperson said, it's an industry first, explaining how the robot can

00:30look at a person's tongue, face, and pulse and make a diagnosis.

00:33It can then suggest medications or traditional treatments, like porridge or tea.

00:38However, its developers added that the mechanical humanoid can also provide emotional support,

00:43something traditional pharmaceutical prescriptions cannot.

00:46That includes playing music or even giving someone a massage.

00:49They added that the diagnosis system that the robot has installed is the same one that

00:53is already used in some 7,000 institutions across China.

00:57During the Apsara Conference, hundreds of other future tech products were shown off

01:01that included cutting-edge autonomous vehicles, workhorse robots, and even new cloud computing

01:06systems that could bring tech to the far reaches of the globe.
