00:00While the war in Gaza continues, Israel has now been accused of executing a plot involving exploding pagers.
00:07Reuters reports that the country's espionage branch, Mossad, has long conducted operations on foreign soil.
00:13This time, it is alleged that they planted explosives in pagers months ago, which were then imported by Hezbollah in Lebanon.
00:20They were detonated on September 17th, killing at least 12 people and injuring at least 3,000 more, many of them civilians.
00:28It is now being reported that Hezbollah switched to pagers for security reasons.
00:32But how could something so small pack enough explosives to kill?
00:35Well, experts tell Reuters, pagers already contained several of the components necessary for a small bomb.
00:41You need a container, a battery, a triggering device, a detonator, and an explosive charge.
00:47In this particular case, the pager already, I mean, a typical pager would already have the first three of this list.
00:55They went on to say that other pre-designed components could round out the explosives easily,
01:00something made easier by the fact that, quote, there is no single entity controlling the full supply chain.
01:05It is now being reported that a second wave of explosions have now injured countless more, this time with exploding walkie-talkies.
