00:09provide the injury analysis and insight on a Monday following a

00:14busy Sunday slate and there's a lot to get to. So we are very

00:17pleased to have the pro football doc Doctor David Chow with us

00:21here on this Monday on the early line. You can see the great

00:23work that he and his team are doing at Sports Injury Central.

00:36for joining us here on the early line. Thanks for having

00:39me. Yup. Six score is what it is. Six score.com. Alright,

00:44Doctor Chow. The big news on this Monday morning tweeted out

00:47in the last half an hour from NFL Network's Ian Rappaport.

00:50Isaiah Pacheco injured yesterday in the marquee match up against

00:53the Bengals left the stadium in a walking boot and on

00:57crutches. The initial tests are saying it is a fracture to his

01:02fibula. What does this mean for Pacheco's future this year in

01:052024? Well, we we got a lot of good injury analysis this

01:10weekend. This one, I have to be honest. I didn't see by video

01:14to be an ankle fracture, right? And now, there's there's

01:18reports of ankle fractures but we don't delete tweets. Now,

01:21the latest report from Adam Schefter is they need an MRI to

01:25confirm whether it's a fibular fracture or is there a ligament

01:29or something else? Stadium x-rays are usually very

01:32diagnostic for fractures. Perhaps it's a hairline,

01:35non-displaced fracture or or it's a ligament. So, I guess if

01:38you can't tell by stadium x-rays, maybe people don't hate

01:41on me too much for not being able to tell off a video. But

01:44in any case, not seeing this as a season ender, it's gonna cost

01:49him a lot of time likely but the Chiefs could get him back

01:52for a late season playoff run. Doc, we all saw the major

01:57concussion that Tua Tagovailoa did suffer in that prime time

02:00game against the Bills. It's not so much about when he's going

02:02to come back doc but can you tell us what's the process that

02:05Tua Tagovailoa is going through from the game itself till today

02:09on some of those tests and also how they determine when he

02:12could possibly be cleared? Well, to me, there's no doubt

02:15he's gonna see multiple neurologists or neurosurgeons

02:18and get lots of good opinions. It's hard to say. Every

02:21concussion you could argue is a major concussion. No two

02:25concussions are the same. Uh you know, certainly, he got hit

02:28by DeMar Hamlin but he also hit the back of his head on the

02:31turf and you guys are showing the pictures and images right

02:34there and this is arguably his fifth concussion in five years.

02:38One in college, two diagnosed but you could argue three in

02:422022 and now this one. Does this automatically, is this

02:48career-threatening? Absolutely. Every single concussion can be

02:52said to be that but with five and five years, it is

02:54career-threatening. Is he going to come back in one or two

02:57weeks? No. Uh it's going to need a longer absence. Is this

03:01career-ending? Not necessarily. If symptoms linger and indeed

03:06will be career-ending. If symptoms go away quickly, then

03:09he may have a chance to go back. Let him determine that.

03:12The posturing, the fencing doesn't really relate to the

03:15seriousness of it even though it looks bad to the general

03:19public and no, he's not the highest number of concussions

03:22in the league. We focus on Tua because of the controversy in

03:252022 and of course, he's a quarterback, premier position

03:31but Mitch Morris now with the Jaguar Center with the Buffalo

03:34Bills before has six documented concussions in his NFL career.

03:38Pat Fryer-Mufas had three in his first young early career at

03:42tight end. So, it remains to be seen and it will be an

03:45individual decision along with the doctors. Really good

03:49medical information there in the process of what is

03:52happening behind the scenes for Tua Tungabailoa and Miami.

03:56Tua telling NFL media over the weekend, he has no plans to

04:00retire. It will be his decision along with his loved ones and

04:04his family. Doctor Chow, early in this year, there might not be

04:07a banged up team more than that of the LA Rams. Yesterday, on

04:12the road in Arizona, they got beat bad. Forty-one to ten and

04:17with Puka Nakua on injured reserve, many offensive linemen

04:21already dealing with injury. Cooper Cup exits the game early

04:25as well. What is the field view or the six score overall of the

04:29LA Rams saying on this Monday? Well, look, Cooper Cup rolled

04:35his ankle. We're hoping it's not serious and eversion ankle

04:39sprain, a different type of high ankle sprain. We'll see if

04:43he can come back or not. The only silver lining for the Rams

04:47is they're about to get their left tackle back uh uh and

04:50that's the only silver line. The whole left side of the

04:52offensive line has been out and a disarray with the center

04:56sliding over, etcetera. That's why we have two favorite games

05:00this week at six score and we don't handicap games. We just do

05:04it off the field view and and do the analysis. Our two

05:07favorites were the Arizona Cardinals and the other one was

05:10the Minnesota Vikings. Even though in the on our own war

05:14room, we were nervous about the Vikings against the 49ers.

05:17That's what our numbers said and it bore out. Doc, six score

05:22has been hot here and we got a big Monday night football game

05:24with some injury concerns. Number one for the Philadelphia

05:27Eagles got AJ Brown at the wide receiver position and also doc,

05:30let us know, are we healthy at the quarterback position for

05:33the Atlanta Falcons with Kirk Cousins? Well, we're healthy

05:37enough to play. Are we 100%? That's the question. If you

05:41ask me, is he 100% on the Achilles? It's his back foot

05:44push off. No, neither is Aaron Rodgers but they're able to

05:48play and be effective. I think it's still more scheme and new

05:52system than that and the question now with AJ Brown

05:55already ruled out for the Eagles, what does this really

05:58mean? You know, is there a domino effect in how the

06:02coverage changes on Devonta Smith? Obviously, you got

06:04Johan Dotson who's relatively new still. Is there a domino

06:08effect without the bell cow AJ Brown being in there? I think

06:12he's a mild hamstring but early season, the Eagles didn't want

06:15to make it worse. So, that'll be what's interesting to watch

06:18there. You see the field views for tonight in that

06:29Monday night, Aaron Rodgers in Santa Clara. We asked you

06:31about the veteran quarterback coming off a torn Achilles.

06:35Same question for the 36-year-old Kirk Cousins. You

06:38mentioned he is healthy enough to play. How does he develop and

06:41get healthier throughout the season as he's still playing in

06:44NFL regular season games? Well, you know, obviously, there's

06:48still lots of training room stuff and workouts and you

06:51know, it's a gradual process but I really think the concern

06:54is just scheme and getting used to what's happening there. If

06:57you really get down to it, how many tight window throws does

07:01a quarterback make in a game? It's more about feel and timing

07:04and throwing to the right spot. Yeah, the tight window throws

07:08may lack in a little bit of accuracy because of push off

07:11but overall, I think he could still have a good game here.
