Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, the free co-op mode and Season 1 are all available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

The free co-op mode has arrived on consoles. This mode, already available on PC, adds a new layer of excitement to your explorations as you can now team up with up to 3 players. Work together to make science progress!

Introducing Season 1: Cave Odyssey
Season 1 takes you into uncharted territory. Whether you're a seasoned explorer or a newcomer, Cave Odyssey lets you unearth deeply buried secrets in the all-new cave environment. For the first time in the MudRunner series, explore huge labyrinthine tunnels alone or with some friends, where rare gems and mysterious unknown civilization records are hidden. Collect these precious stones and take part in a unique scientific discovery, but be careful to adapt your driving to this environment;it is far more treacherous than the surface already is.

Two new vehicles make their appearance in the garage to help you navigate the 14 expeditions, 12 contracts and 11 tasks in Cave Odyssey: the Step 72-49 "Albatross", a sturdy six-wheeled vehicle, and the Shiba Overlander, a maneuverable scout ideal for tight spaces.You can also get the support of two specialists, Nava Desayi and Solveig Friedenlund, an Operator and a Jaeger whose abilities make expeditions easier: improving drone speed, marking airdrops or shortcuts, etc.

New content drops for free
In addition to Season 1 content included for Year Pass owners, new gameplay content is coming for free for all players: the Step 33-64 "Crocodile", famous high-clearance truck, the GPS Tracker tool, which can be placed on equipment caches to automatically sell their content, and the Helipad module, with its ability to teleport immediately to another vehicle from base.

Expeditions will continue to offer a lot of free content, including new game mechanics, specialists, vehicles and all the new paid features included as part of the Year 1 Pass, including a Season 2 full of surprises. 00:12After hours and hours of playing solo, Co-op is finally here for everyone.

00:17So it's time to jump back in and explore the world with your friends, whichever platform they play on.

00:26Up to four players can join in Co-op play, engaging in missions together, exchanging items, collaboratively plotting routes, and sharing information to complete objectives.

00:38Players can also collaborate with their tools, launch a drone, scout for the group, or rescue each other from dangerous situations.

00:47Resources are abundant here, and players can also earn achievements together.

00:54One person's success is the team's success.

01:00In addition to this Co-op update, we're excited to bring tons of new content in Year 1.

01:07Starting with an exciting program for Season 1, Cave Odyssey.

01:12As part of this, you'll head down to the caves for some underground exploration.

01:18Caves are a more challenging biome to navigate, and traditional methods of scouting may be ineffective, so you'll need to choose the best vehicles for this underground exploration.

01:29And who knows, caves may be a good means to find shortcuts.

01:34Look to the past, but also to the future, assisting a scientific space camp in simulating conditions for a future expedition to Mars, both above ground and underground.

01:47To help you tackle these new challenges, Season 1 introduces three new vehicles.

01:54The Step 3364 Crocodile, available today for free and for everyone.

02:00The Step 7249 Albatross, and the Sheba Overlander, all of which will be used in your new journeys into the caves.

02:10Two new specialists also join the experience and are ready to offer assistance.

02:14Nawal and Solveig.

02:16Back at your base, you'll also have access to the helipad, which, when built, allows players to teleport to any of their vehicles on the map.

02:27And don't forget the new, very helpful GPS tracker, allowing players to leave items in the airdrop zones, where they'll be automatically sold on the return to HQ, which allows saving on valuable inventory slots during an expedition.

02:44All of that, as well as a ton of other updates and improvements that players have been asking for since launch, are now available in Season 1.
