00:17to my fellow workers in government.
00:23So let me congratulate this year's outstanding government workers,
00:28your exceptional service, you're complemented by your principles, your virtues, your hard work
00:33has truly inspired everyone to strive to make a difference in our society.
00:58The first search for outstanding government workers is based on the Civil Service Act of 1959.
01:04It was proposed by former President Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr.
01:08and more than six decades after its inception.
01:11President Marcos said,
01:12his intention is to recognize and honor the hard work of government employees in public service.
01:19Three prestigious awards were given,
01:22and these are the Presidential Lingkod Bayan, Outstanding Public Officials,
01:26an Employees o Dangal ng Bayan, and the CSC Pag-asa.
01:30According to President Marcos,
01:32there is a challenge that is rewarding and rewarding in serving the government.
01:36We serve because we make a difference.
01:39We serve because it is in our DNA.
01:42We serve because we love the Philippines.
01:45Public servants are involved in speeding up the process of government
01:50in improving the economy and improving the service.
01:54The President believes that the awards and government workers
01:58helped in the development of a new Philippines.
02:01He also called for continuing transparency in work and serving with integrity.
02:08Thank you for all the good work that you all do.
02:12And I hope that this small recognition that we do today
02:19to our awardees, it just serves to remind us of the army of people
02:25who are working quietly, who are not recognized,
02:28but continue to go to work every day and do their job the best way that they can.
02:34And for that, I thank you all who are in the civil service.
